IF Crosby could have been there, Kovy probably would have made a good PP Specialist. We all knew his effectiveness would be pretty much void if that didn't happen.

I wish he could have played here with someone who thought the game like he did. Lots of great plays to guys who werent ready for a pass.

At the end of the day his age caught up to him, always loved Kovy though.

Ironically, when representatives from Atlant Mytishchi were asked as to why they'd want to sign a 38 yr old Kovalev their response was: "we like his work ethic"

They always say stuff like that. What are they supposed to say? "Goddamnit, this guy is slow and lazy, but everyone with better hands is gonna end up under contract to an NHL team, so we signed him anyway."
