Kreider Ranked #10 NHL Prospect by ESPN

Grant Sonier at ESPN Insider ranked his top 10 prospects. Kreider was #10. I'll post the rankings and the brief paragraph on Kreider so that those of you who don't have ESPN Insider can see it.

10. Chris Kreider

Quote:
10. Chris Kreider, New York Rangers

No. 19 overall, 2009 draft

In April, Kreider said he would remain in college, but in my opinion he's ready to join the Rangers right now. He makes this list of prospects because I believe he is one of the best skating forwards not only in college hockey, where he plays for Boston College, but in all of hockey. This centerman/winger has dimensional explosiveness, speed and a big-time shot. He has been criticized at times for not producing enough or bringing enough consistent intensity to his game, but for me that is more because of the fact that when you watch him play, you see so much potential in him.
Thoughts?

Many people say the same thing about him. Many people he will be nothing more than a fast 3rd liner because if his stats.

Time will tell.

I listed the whole top 10, for some reason the mods deleted it

I have no clue why, maybe they are angry today.

Even if it is ESPN, it still shows a picture as him being one of the top prospects in hockey

I think he is definitely better than Granlund and Tarasenko.

You're probably opening up a debate here, but like any piece of copyrighted material, a synopsis is OK, out-right republishing someone elses work is not.

I don't get it...I really like the potential Kreider has but until he proves he can consistently DO something with it...I just feel he's a bit overrated now.

His skating is beyond fantastic and he has a very good shot, but I just want to see more production out of him before I start thinking he's a top ranked prospect

That's kind of a weird list anyways

i know you can't post the full article but I didn't think it was an issue to just list the 10 names.

We'll see how it pans out when he's out of college in another 15, 20 years

I think it has 8/10 players on it from this years draft

Also did you watch the World Championships? He was a beast against some of the best players in the World. I have no doubt that he belongs atleast in the top 15 of all NHL Prospects.

I'm a bit surprised that Erixon wasn't on that list.

It bugs me that Larrson is already the #4 prospect in all of hockey. Only the Devs get rewarded perfectly for semi-awful season by winning the draft lottery and picking exactly what they were lacking in their organization. Ridiculous.

to be fair, this is an ESPN list and they are not right on the money at all with any of these guys.

Kill the messenger if you like, but there seems to be a very large consensus that Larsson is a stud.

What, Tarasenko is rated over McIlraith?

Pierre!!!!!!!!!!!
