umm...I guess being good at logic and not so good at creativity...come on..there are LOADS of math oriented jobs!

You like hockey right? Well, look for a role as a statistician...if that doesn't work, try the other major sports. Try any large F500 company..most need some sort of number cruncher other than accountants..most likely in tandem with an economist to calculate cost benefit...try NGO's that deal with sustainable development. World Bank, UN, NATO etc.

So I just too my first kickboxing class tonight and pretty much got my ass kicked. For anyone looking to get back in shape or increase their cardio check out these classes. Pretty damn good.

Hey Islanders fans, I recently added a 95/96 Isles Gortons Firsherman jersey to my collection. Its the white home jersey (home at that time) and its lettered and numbered with CLARK 17. I am aware the fisherman jerseys are rare today and sell for a high dollar on ebay, and im assuming since Wendel Clark played only 68 games for the Islanders that this would add to the jerseys value. Anyone know how much this jersey would be worth now, and say maybe 5-10 years from now? Thanks from a die hard jersey collector

New to the board as a member, but I've been reading for a while. I'm a huge Isles fan, and I look forward to interacting with all of you soon!

For some reason, Voldemort reminds me of Messier:

The images aren't coming up for some reason...???

And we gotta poster 'round here with Potvin Sucks as his avatar, I'm tempted to go with a Messier Sucks avatar.

Never knew that Nick Swisher sings!! Just downloaded his album Believe!

It's not bad, and it's for charity.

The man just got hotter!! Now, if only he was a hockey player.

Rob Schremp

Hey, Islanders-fans!

I am a Modo-fan from Sweden, and we have recently recruited Rob Schremp to the team. But we do not know much about him here in Sweden, but it ought to do you, who have had him in your team in some / a few seasons. Is there any kind person who could give me a description of him, positive aspects of him or negative?

Thanks in advance!

Sincerely William Engstrom.

The kid has unbelievable stick handling skills and is excellent in the shootout. As far as a being a good hockey player? Not really. Caught out of position a lot and not too good defensively. He is all flash and not much else. Offensively, with his skills you would think he would create more offense, but he really didnt. Hope this helps.

Purely offensive player that will probably benefit from the more wide-open nature of the European game. In the NHL, he shied away from physical contact, didn't go into the high traffic areas to score goals and definitely did not play defense.

However, he is extremely creative with the puck, is a good playmaker and loves to score goals (maybe for no other reason than just to have the opportunity to think of new ways to celebrate scoring them). I'm very curious to see how he performs in the SEL.

don't they play on the larger ice surface in the SEL though? I think olympic sized ice would be good for his game.

He is also a very good passer & playmaker, something you didn't mention. So with more room to work with, in theory his game should benefit.

Put him with a two-way forward and he should do well in the SEL. Not an NHl player though.
