I remember one of the first baseball games I went to Barry Bonds stole a base with a very big lead and Ricky Bo hit him. Bonds charged the mound and Ricky Bo took him down.

Thought I would be able to watch the game today since it was listed on Fox, but instead they are showing the Yankees...

Yep. But this is FOX announcers we're talking about.

I remember LA said something along the lines of this earlier in the year, "Oswalt really fisted Heyward hard there."

Sloppy double. He is looking to get guillotined with this head right there. Polly needs to throw that on, lol.

I hear you and I mostly agree, but it's not like Whiteside was gonna take a couple of minutes and work Polanco's guard to try and sub him, or start throwing punches and elbows on the ground. It looks IMO like he didn't really wanna get hit.

Not watching or listening, did they mention if both teams were warned before the game?

Late scare there in the ninth but Cole shut those stupid Giants fans up nicely

Cole, angered after losing his CGSO, immediately willed the pitch to where Cabrera would be jammed and used his psychic powers to force him to swing. The game ended as planned.

Idk if the Giants are the going to make the playoffs. Cole should finish at least in the top 3 for the Cy Young award.

Taking someone to the ground is not dumb. Taking someone to the ground in a brawl is dumb. Unlike wrestling, or MMA, the last place you ever want to be when there are multiple opponents is the ground.

I know Lincecum is pitching, but how awesome would a sweep be? I'm happy with the series victory, but it would be amazing to beat their best pitcher and sweep a 4 game series.

Every so often I check out the opponent's local sports papers/pages to get their take on what happened between our clubs. I came across this little tidbit before they fixed it on the Chronicles main sports page, but it's still wrong on their Giants page as of typing:

Apparently Cole is black and likes to wear the oppositions uniforms.

I was there the week prior and I had that exact same sense. Philadelphia apparel and soccer jerseys.

I was noticing him also... I'd guess fans over the dugout... Love to know hat Vance was actually doing. Thinking he was just thrilled with the score and his game, so he was playing around and annoying the guy. haha

Well, can't win 'em all. I'm happy with 3 of 4. Oswalt looked didn't look particularly good, but in his first game back I'll give him a pass.

I thought he actually could've done a lot worse. The ump wasn't giving him much of a zone to work with and he did a good job of damage control. 3 runs in 6 innings is a "quality start", right?
