I'm interested, but I am going to be picky on the settings this time.

Last year someone set up a league with 16 teams requiring 2 starting goalies. Wasn't fun and I quit 1/4 of the season in.

I'm probably thinking about 20 teams on Yahoo H2H league, I hosted one a while back on the Avs official forum and it turned out ok.

I'd be interested...but would probably be the equivalent to the Edmonton Oilers of the last couple of years...

Last year I was in the 20 person head to head league that was posted here. There were all sorts of people complaining about needing two goalies and having so many teams. I was doing very well (final record of 19-2 before "playoffs") with only Fleury and Clemenson. I'm just saying goalies aren't a huge priority, just more of a luxury. As long as you have at least one you are fine.

But yes, I would like to join a fantasy league. I don't have enough friends that would join one so I gotta join one from here I guess. So, please start one!!!

I can't remember how I did last season with the Arnason Armada. I lost interest a 3rd of the way through the season, which is pretty much what I always do when I join a fantasy league

That was the one I was in as well. I wish it had been only one goalie starter though. Would have been a lot more fun and I would have probably kept on playing. Having 2 goalies to rotate in/out of one starter job is fun. Having 3 goalies and trying to catch 2 of them when they're playing was just dumb (especially in a league with 20 teams).

My only other request is that we actually start up the league with a set draft date like 1-2 weeks out. As much time as you can give us to research and create draft lists would be cool. Last year it felt like the draft and rules settings etc. were pieced together at the very last possible minute.

If you want to make it really fun, give us 2-3 keepers that we can roll over to next season. Make it a requirement that one of them is an NHL Rookie (a qualifying NHL rookie).

I run a lot of football fantasy leagues, and the keeper ones are always the best.

Yep, we could do keepers possibly. One thing in the baseball league I'm in is that for pitchers you can only have a limited number of innings pitched by pitchers. Is it possible that we can limit the number of starts by goalies? Or we need to set rules on when we can pick goalies or something. But, like I said, I did well with only Fleury getting regular starts.

It's probably gonna be 2 goalies but only 3 starts a week is required. I'll make a league when Yahoo goes back up.

I'd be interested, but I havn't done any leagues besides one with a few friends (which really wasn't anything at all besides picking players and then watching point totals go up).

Would it be a head to head league?
Or a keeper?

I am almost certainly interested but I would like a few more details.

It'll be 20 teams H2H, I haven't finalized the categories yet, but right now I do have these in mind.

Roster Positions: C, C, LW, LW, RW, RW, D, D, D, D, G, G, BN, BN, BN, BN, IR, IR

Forwards/Defensemen Stat Categories: Goals (G), Assists (A), Plus/Minus (+/-), Penalty Minutes (PIM), Powerplay Points (PPP), Shorthanded Points (SHP), Game-Winning Goals (GWG), Shots on
Goal (SOG)

Goaltenders Stat Categories: Wins (W), Goals Against Average (GAA), Save Percentage (SV%), Shutouts (SHO)

3 minimum goalie starts per week.

The league isn't keeper right now, but if there's enough interest at the end of the season we can certainly continue the league as a keeper with perhaps about 4 keepers.

Not sure what draft we'll be doing right now, I think thinking either a offline draft on here or a live draft. The live draft would be done quickly but it's pretty hard to get everyone to be available at the same time. The advantage of an offline draft is we can allow for trades between draft picks, and we have an a 24 hours limit before they get auto picked for them.

BTW just copy and paste the list and add your user name to the list to make it a little easier lol. I'd say the league will be a go if more than 12 people are interested.

I've been in a offline draft and it takes effin forever (8 teams only). Live draft would be much better.

I know this is entirely your choice, but I would be much more interested if +/- and PIM were dropped.

+/- is more or less a team stat, and therefore negatively affects good players on bad teams.

Also, I fail to see why PIM would be rewarded. Maybe if you had a specific enforcer on each team who counted penalty minutes, but to me forcing your team to play short handed is a bad thing.
