Which is impossible. You can buy them on Stubhub but the game hasn't even been announced. Tickets won't ever even be sold to the general public without going through a lottery.

Apparently not... take a look for yourself at the CBP official website:

http://park-tickets.org/ResultsTicke...&eid=FT&egid=B

May be a mistake... who knows?

According to Google it was supposed to be "www.citizensbank.park-tickets.org " but clicking there does say it is independent... seems to be a bait and switch sponsored search hit... I was too trusting of Google and I apologize.

There are tickets available at various sites on the web... This one seemed more legit though since they were actually offering exact sea locations.

I know that no official word has been announced... thus I thought it may be a mistake in an early web release that was to be released later. If bought how could they supply those locations if they don't have them committed to them? May be a scam... or may be they have been given those set locations but were not to sell them yet... Fishy to say the least... but out on the market, good or bad, just the same.

The flyers were going to use a Quakers style jersey at first but have now switched to a different jersey.

They will be wearing the orange socks they wore in the 90's with an orange jersey that is different to the one they wore in the 90's

Okay, so what we now know is:

The jerseys will be orange
The jerseys will not be the the ones from the 90s
The jerseys will not be the the ones from the 30s Quakers
The socks will be the ones worn in the 90s
The game will not be at the Linc
The game will or will not be at the Bank
The game will or will not be at PPL Park
The game has been placed on the 2011-12 NHL/Flyers schedules
There has not been any 'Official' word on any of the above by the Flyers, Rangers, NHL, Phillies, MLB, Eagles, NFL, Union, MLS, City of Philadelphia, State of Pennsylvania, Comcast nor Wells Fargo Center

There has been much talk by STHs and people who know people who have heard leaked out info.

Okay... I'm good

The game isn't official! There is no jersey! I'm getting tired of all of this "I've seen it", "My season ticket holder friend told me", and other such things.

It's been truly amazing. This offseason I've learned that at least half of Philly works for the Flyers or is good friends with someone who does. I don't think any other team's fans in any other sport have such an abundance of insiders and information.

Is a sarcasm smiley really needed?

So have you guys consulted with other posters and administrators yet? Last I checked, he's not a veteran member, so he must have contacted you guys with proof before he posted such information.

The nuns used to always make us share with the class. I remember they'd be like, "Kyle, what is that you're looking at? Come up to the front of the room and share it with the rest of the class. Now!"

Alright. That's it.

Take note of that rule before you go on about how you KNOW what the jersey is, or that you've seen it, or whatever. Posters who do not clear their sources with the moderating staff will have their posts removed.

THERE IS a curious afternoon contest currently penciled in for Monday, Jan. 2 on the Flyers' schedule. Technically, without a peep from the NHL since the league's matrix was released on June 23, it's just one of 82 games on the Flyers' slate.

That is all expected to change next week when the NHL will finally - formally and officially - announce Citizens Bank Park as the home of the 2012 Winter Classic between the Flyers and New York Rangers, a league source told the Daily News.

It will be by far the latest announcement of the summer compared to the previous four Winter Classic setups, each of which were announced in July.

The Phillies are expected to finally sign off on the rental terms for Citizens Bank Park to make the deal "done and documented," the source said. NHL officials have visited Citizens Bank Park numerous times over the past few weeks to hammer out the details.

"The event is just a unique one to the Phillies and it has taken time to go through the issues," the source said.

Tim P. has an update and that is another delay in the expected announcement.

http://www.csnphilly.com/08/24/11/So...478&feedID=695

Quote:
The long-awaited official announcement of the 2012 Winter Classic between the Flyers and Rangers at Citizens Bank Park appears to have been pushed back -- again.

According to a source involved in the negotiations, no announcement is anticipated this week, after all.

Other sources told CSNPhilly.com that the Flyers had anticipated an announcement two weeks ago, saying that terms and conditions between the NHL and the Phillies at Citizens Bank Park were completed. Never happened.

One newspaper report last week said the announcement was coming this week. Since Thursday is an open date for the Phils, it seemed a logical choice for a press conference. But issues still remain.

All that said, discussions continue between all parties.
