...and he'll be playing with Schaefer and Spezza.

Martin is re-uniting the three after some good chemistry last year.

I like to refer to them as the Isotonar Line - all of them have great hands.

just out of curiosity... who gets bumoed to the 4th line? Varada, White, Schastlivy, Smoke? Given that Bonk, Hossa, Alfredsson are locks for the top 2 lines. I'm just having trouble picturing the line up right now.

Stevenson mentioned that Shastlivy and Vermette were on the Van Allen - Neil line, so he assumed that one or the other will be on the 4th and the other will sit. I think that they'll give vermette one last game before sending him down to binghamton again.

Smoke-White-Alfredsson
Varada-Bonk-Hossa
Schaefer-Spezza-Havlat
Schastlivy*-Van Allen-Neil

It's possible they would sit Schastlivy in stead of Vermette, but I think Schastlivy has played well enough to earn the start.

I'd rather them sit Van Allen and let Vermette center that fourth line. I've notice that, like Schastlivy, Vermette tends to shoot from anywhere - Mainly from just inside the blue line on the forecheck. This is how that fourth line has been somewhat productive so far. They bring a very, very intense forecheck that generates shots on the way in, and you get them banging away at rebounds. Vermette scored a beauty on his own rebound in the pre-season from this, and Neiler got one in San Jose from this, off Vermettes shot.

The Team 1200 reported that White re-aggravated his shoulder injury so he won't be in against the Caps.

Thanks very much! All credit to Other Dave for coining the Palmolive line. I've been chuckling all afternoon at that. Anyways, I have a course that is offered on ITV (watch your course on tv) and since it was so exciting, I figured I would make a new avatar.

You got me laughing there for quite a while there, gbl1p.

Curious to know, what software did you use to make it?

BTW, thanks for the good word in the powerforward thread. Some people in there are so, as he called me - THICK! Ha! They're more occupied arguing with their own conjured up crap, then to bother with the pertinent arguments at hand.

I used Adobe Photoshop 7.0 to create that avatar. I'm usually messing around with Photoshop, you could say it's a hobby. Let me know if you would like any other info... it's a very fun program!

Tell me about it.. I've seen Hossa play since his Portland days and let me tell you his game has improved vastly but these people have their head too far up their anus they can't distinguish between fact and fiction.

btw, check your pm.
