Lee has the same amount of HR off of lefties as Howard.

He was well over 100 pitches with the heart of LA's lineup due to bat the 9th. And even though Cliff was dealing, that 8th took a lot of pitches from him and wasn't as sharp. The 9th had Madson written all over it to me, and he got the job done even with Utley's slip up.

Great game by Cliff Lee he could have finished it up no need to put madson in who gave up the run but closed it out. Vance Worley goes for win # 9 tomorrow.........

Wrong, there was absolutely no reason to leave Cliff in there for the 9th. He had already thrown 125 pitches, and leaving him in would be pretty moronic, at least IMO.

There's a reason we have a closer.

He threw 124 pitches, no way he was staying in. And the run may have been an earned run in the books by Madson, it shouldn't be. He rolled a perfect DP ball after a single to start the inning, but Utley slipped on the bag and couldn't complete it. You can't assume a DP in the books, but it was going to be one. So instead of 2 out 0 on, it was 1 on 1 out. Kemp came around to score, but shouldn't have been on the basepath to begin with.

E: I see Jray beat me to it. Curse my slow typing! But anywho, yeah gg by Cliff.

I'll deal with the unfortunate side effects of success, no way do I want to go back to watching rotations with Omar Daal, Brandon Duckworth, Dave Coggin, etc. Remember how often Amaury Telemaco would come in by like the 4th or 5th inning? And how our offensive hopes often came down to Tomas Perez?

Most real fans are still there, you just have to know where to look. Unfortunately that sometimes means not the cheap seats and therefore attending less games. I admit that part hurts. But some of the most knowledgeable and enthusiastic fans are up in the 400s, I've had some great experiences up there too.

So the Blue Jay's might be stealing signs.

http://espn.go.com/espn/otl/story/_/...-rogers-centre

Quote:
"Not too easy, is it?"

From the visitors bullpen at Rogers Centre in Toronto, an American League pitcher screamed at Blue Jays right fielder Jose Bautista as he took his position late in a game in the spring of 2010.

"It's not too [f------] easy to hit home runs when you don't know what's coming!"...

...Several Jays had extreme splits in 2010. Bautista, for example, had a 1.118 OPS (on-base plus slugging) with 33 homers at home but an .879 OPS and 21 dingers on the road. First baseman Adam Lind had a .759 OPS with 15 homers in Toronto but a .660 OPS with eight bombs on the road. Second baseman Aaron Hill? His home-road OPS split was .730-.605. Shortstop Yunel Escobar was traded from Atlanta to Toronto in July 2010, and he has an .865 OPS at Rogers as a Jay but a .683 mark on the road. And then there's Vernon Wells. The outfielder had a .990 OPS and 21 home runs in Toronto last season but crashed to .699 with 10 jacks away from Rogers Centre. This past winter he was traded to the Angels and has a .552 OPS in Halos home games.

Some more OPS splits here.

http://hardballtalk.nbcsports.com/20...g-allegations/

Quote:
Here are the individual OPS splits for all of the Jays with 180 at-bats this season:

Jose Bautista: 1.155 home, 1.030 road
Yunel Escobar: .957 home, .699 road
Edwin Encarnacion: .921 home, .670 road
Adam Lind: .807 home, .755 road
Eric Thames: .794 home, .684 road
Rajai Davis: .735 home, .512 road
J.P. Arencibia: .697 home, .757 road
Travis Snider: .687 home, .561 road
Corey Patterson: .659 home, .671 road
Juan Rivera: .629 home, .702 road
Aaron Hill: .595 home, .587 road

Lee has the same amount of HR off of lefties as Howard.

Lee has a higher BA than Craig Counsell and a Higher SLG then Yuniesky Betancourt.

You mean you didn't just love how the driving force behind going to the Vet was when you had groups like the Wolf Pack, Padilla's Flotilla, The Duck Pond, Millwoods Militia, etc.? Or how about when we had the Kevin infield of Jordan and Stocker? And who could forget Travis Lee!
