In my own mind you need to win three consecutive world championships (or Stanley Cups) to be considered a Dynasty anything less does not qualify (sorry Yankee fans)
If you dont consider the 90's Yankees team a dynasty then I dont know what to tell you. Yanks won 3 in a row and were 1 out away from making it 4 in a row. They won 11 consecutive playoff series games and are currently ranked 2nd behind the Islanders in that respect.

That Yankee Dynasty is going down in history as one of the greatest ever.

As for this ESPN site and there mentioning us, It sounds more like an obituary. If this team does move I am going to use all my TV producer connections and create a 50 for 50 series titled "Who Killed The NY Islanders"

Were you in an incubator in 1993 or something? lol

I know that would make you 7 years old then, but i was the same age when we on our first Cup and I remember it like it was yesterday.

I must give full disclosure here;

The Yankees make me sick, they make me physically sick.

Incredible team. Tough players with scoring finesse. Not a weak spot in the line-up.

What was hard for me was after that run, there was no coverage for us New York Transplants in California. Became a Kings fan in 1987 due to it was hard to follow the Isles on tv. Luckily now I get to see both teams play thanks to Versus, NBS and Center Ice.
