Last year about $100 for seat behind Flyers bench in St.Paul for pre-season game + travel, beer, etc. another $200. And usually $300-500 or so on merch (jerseys, jackets, shirts, cards)

This year 12 tickets in upper deck season tickets for Winnipeg Jets (got 6 games in my draft - Flyersx2, Rangers, Kings, Sabres, Senators). Cost about $1,000. Plus bought a bunch of Mitchell & Ness stuff on eBay - 5 hats/touques, 2 jackets... and I'll have to buy a bunch of new Jets merch! Could get expensive...

Luckily I have 3 ticket hook ups, so between them I usually can get to 4-5 games a year at no charge. So my only expense is parking and food. I'd love to get a 10 game plan, but my son started playing hockey this year and now I started playing, so any extra money in the budget goes to that.
One of these years I'd like to plan a road trip to Toronto or Montreal to see a game, preferably against the Flyers. I need to price this out to see if I can swing it.

Its weird, for how much of a sports freak I am, I don't own a lot of fan gear. I have 2 Flyers tshirts. I had bought a Richards shirt like a week before the trade. Thankfully I hadn't taken the tags off yet so I got to return it!
Football is actually my favorite sport and I love the Birds, but I don't own a single piece of clothing from them. My wife even has an Eagles shirt and she doesn't care that much about football.

Coming from Westchester NY - lets see, I have a 13 game weekend plan and all the playoff home games the past 4 years so we can avergage it out.

13 game plan: $500 (I sell about 7 of them and sometimes I pay for both tickets to a game I go to)
Games @ NYR, NYI, NJ: $180
Playoffs: $525 (if you average the last 4 seasons worth)
Jerseys: $55 (get one every 3 years or so)
Merchandise: $50
Gas/Train: $650
Tolls: $500
Parking: $70
Food and Drinks: $550
NHL Center Ice Package: $160

Estimated Total: $3,240

Can you please get a Hartnell jersey this year?

And how many $ do you earn per month? I only earn 1600 per month so there is no chance to pay so much money....

And keep in mind last year was an unusual one whereby I didn't make my annual pilgrimage to Philly.

Center Ice Package: 180
Pre-Season Tickets x 2: 200 Dinner & Pints: 150
Regular Season Tickets @ the ACC x 4: 870 Dinner & Pints: 300
Game 6 @ Buffalo Tickets: 750 (Stubhub) Bus, Dinner & Booze: 200ish
New M&N "Hextall" 190 (after duty tax)
Misc ebay, craigslist, and local items: 300
Flyers vs Sharks SCF online Sports Book Wager: 100

Grand Total: 3240

I didn't factor 2 things: one was, if anyone recalls, I was momentarily detained shall we say by Toronto's finest after a post game brouhaha/misunderstnding. I lost my phone during that melee and that set me back 350. The other was before Game 6, I went to the Seneca Casino and won 400 on a slot machine. Evens out.

Good Lord that seems a lot when itemized...............

but worth every penny

I remember your little run in with the law. That was a good "what just happened" moment

I bought that new Mitchell & Ness HEXTALL jersey but returned it when the shade of orange was not what the team wore in the '80's. Even argued with the guy when he tried telling me its the color the team wore back then lol.

Thats the orange they unfortunately wear now, as opposed to the dark orange they rocked in the 80's and 90's.

i spend 1500 a season on about 5 lower level center ice. if i cant get good seats id rather stay home and watch big screen hi def. its only gonna get worse when the 3d tvs come down in price and become more common. nothin like center ice live tho. my favorite thing in the world. if i was rich, that'd be the first thing i bought. season tickets center ice.

Quality has really gone down hill lately.

And the customer service has always been unbelievably rude. It took me almost 2 weeks to get somebody to answer the phone, and the voicemailbox was full the entire time.

Then when I got through they say call back in a few days bc they are only handling sales orders, which is total BS.

After a few days I get through and argue I want my $ back for this jersey to which he tells me they have people that make sure its the exact same jersey the players wore. Since it was on sale, they wouldnt get me a refund so I had to spend it on something else, which actually came out pretty nice.

Every conversation was abrupt, rude and condescending.
