Not me. Probably on seperate lines. Just like the lines mentioned above.

Actually, from most Habs fans I've spoken with, all they want is a 2nd. So Lebda and a conditional 3rd. Or just a 3rd or conditional 2nd. Conditional being he signs a contract extension with the Preds.

Hey Marky is on a 3 year deal I believe it is and AK a one year deal and Weber isn't even signed so I think that is a decent return for him oh and the 2nd.

Weber isn't even signed and is an RFA until 2013. All of the sudden his value is glass-knee Markov, a guy who has broken the 50 pt plateau once, and a 2nd rounder from a probable play off team? Hahah seriously, man. Keep the wig and funny shoes.

Y'all are missing all the "It's August and nothing's going on so lets check and see what the Eastern European guys are saying at home" Kostitsyn drama. This time it's not even Sergei. As you can well imagine this is going over well over on the Montreal board...

It's just funny to me because Sergei is usually the ****-disturber of the two and Andrei just usually keeps his mouth shut. So now Andrei's mouthing off and Sergei's like "I'm good....everything's fine..I want to win a Stanley Cup"

So in Belarussian, Sergei is "Earring"? That's almost as funny as Steve Sullivan, our former crusader of the cloakroom.

Edit: After reading the comments, I would like to say that I am not "Vice Admiral". ;-)

What would everyone be willing to give up for AK? 1st round pick? Would any roster players be worth it? Can we afford to give up a forward prospect?

Roussel + 2nd would be my offer, may not be enough. A lot of their fans seem to think they should be getting a top 6 player in return

Is AK REALLY that talented to fetch a top 6 player in return??? I know he had some fairly high numbers in past years with the Habs, but could his presence be the "missing link" to sway The Captain into thinking, "this team IS serious about winning a CUP here"?

Well, I have never bought into the theory that Weber will only sign here if we bring in a scoring forward. If he wants to leave because he doesn't think we will ever be contenders, it would probably be more due to the entire makeup of the team. IMO contract structure was the top reason why Weber didn't sign long term yet.

Regardless, considering the limited budget we have left for this season, AK makes sense. Even if we could get a Parise right now, there simply isn't room in the budget.

We're $15 million under the top of the cap. If we added Parise we'd be $9 million under the cap. We have the room to make a move like this if we so choose.
