Yeah the interview with Cory was good. You really got a feel for what the guy was all about. He had his shot and is mature enough to realize how it all went.
He's a very nice guy, I've been trying to capture a bit more info on european ex-pats, I had Oleg Petrov last year give me some info on how they adapt to the KHL and how conditions usually are for them.
Apparently Fred Brathwaite is a really fascinating guy to speak with about that, I have to find some time in his sched to get his perspective

Thanks buddy, it's going back up in a few minutes, for those who haven't read the first of the Bust chronicles, the first one was on players with size with an interesting perspective from a Scout, Player and NHL sports psychologist, the second one takes in their perspective on Goalies and I speak a bit to Olivier Michaud and Loic Lacasse.
I love the perspective on '' lost prospects '' so we'll follow that with a bit more on Loic's exile into French Hockey.
I don't think you have to worry too much about using Habs in the site's name as long as you're not bringing in money. I know Major League Baseball is notoriously aggressive about fighting those things, but I think the NHL is generally friendlier towards fan sites.
With that said, for awhile I was working on developing my own site (hoping to have HF contributors) and was going to avoid using any trademarks so I wouldn't have to worry about it. Looks like that project isn't going to happen now though.
Looks good, though I'd highly recommend getting someone to edit before posting articles.
Agreed. Great interview and the other article is good as well, lacks a little spellcheck though. For all my fellow HabsHQ writers, if you ever need something edited, please let me know - I'm used to editing and do it pretty well.
I don't think you have to worry about the Canadiens taking legal action. Habs Eyes on the Prize for instance, is pretty well known and are allowed to use the word "Habs"
I think with Habs Inside/Out it was the Gazette affiliation and extensive ad revenue that did them in. The organization was probably concerned that people assumed they were affiliated with the club.
Great interview with Urquhart by the way, nice to see the perspective of a player who failed to make it and managed to move on. I don't know much about the state of hockey in Germany. I got respect for Urquhart, he's able to take responsibility for his career not working out the way people hoped and if I was in his position, I'd move to Europe ahead of being a career AHLer too.
Don't take this the wrong way, I'm actually just curious: How are you able to promote a site like this on these forums? Is it because you're an HFB partner or something? I would love to tell people about something I'm doing, but was told that i wasn't allowed. It's hard out here for a lonely blogger...

If you keep an open mind and keep striving to improve, I have absolutely no problem passing on this site to my fellow fans and help making this site popular.
Cory sounds like he's got a good head on his shoulders, he really could've blamed management and would have had certain posters cheering him on here, but it was good to see he took responsibility for his own failing to crack the NHL.
I'm with a few others here, I can't stand reading articles that just bash players/management considering I can read 100 posts from here that say the same thing. I've got no problem admitting I'm an optimist so maybe some people enjoy those, but I'm not one of them.
Hopefully you guys can get more interviews with prospects/former prospects. That really seems to be an area where most other Habs sites lack, Habs I/O especially does an exceptionally poor job covering the prospects considering their popularity.
