OHL Prospects - Unheralded Rookies Who Could Make an Impact in 2011-12

http://ohlprospects.blogspot.com/201...okies-who.html

The offseason doesn't give us a lot to talk about, so this is a feature I love to run on this blog every year; the examination of some rookies who could make an impact in the OHL next season.

These are 10 under the radar type of guys to keep an eye on this season (thanks to Sean Lafortune for contributing to the piece).

Well done, good read.

It's nice to see a couple Storm guys on that list, with Auger and Leslie, along with the other 2010 and new 2011 picks, this rebuild might not be so bad.

If you want an big wildcard, look no further then Guelph's Patrick Watling. He has grown a pretty decent amount over the past few years. Scored just 7 points as a 16 year old rookie for the Chatham Maroons (Jr. B) and then in his second year increased his point totals to 75 (in 49 games).

He's also one of the only "natural" centers in Guelph's roster.

Glad he picked up on Worrad who I also think will break out this year. He is basically a rookie still with lots to learn but sure has the wheels. And how much does th talented Maatta brush off on his team mates.

In London I would also look at that Rupert twin pair, man these kids can play.

Athanasiou's name is already out there now with recent team Canada win.
