The Phillies have signed Dave Bush to a minor league deal. In 2009 he almost threw a no hitter against us until Matt Stairs hit a homer to end it.

The best thing to do afterwards is mail it to me as a gift.

When you least expect it... beware; he is there.

Seriously, I'm not aware of any such time and place... but I do know that he dances on the Home Dugout every game; I believe it is after the take me out to the ballgame in the 7th inning stretch... or maybe it is by itself between another inning, I cannot remember... Maybe they will allow you to go to the aisle where he enters and/or exits. Possibly you can talk to the usher or usherette and have your son look cow eyed and hopeful/disappointed beforehand and ask for a favor.

Good luck.

BTW: That reminds me... I never will forget back when we had our front row seats over the Picnic Area at the Vet when Raymond was the Original Phanatic... I had my son who was young at the time and we had aisle seats... we turned around and there was the Phanatic who gave my son a great big kiss --actually he engulfed his head in his tubular snout -- he then pretended to spit with his tongue a few times... funny stuff. I found out his aids (young ladies) follow him around with many spare tongues to replace them when they break and no longer unfurl LOL.

Phillies agree to terms with top Draft pick Larry Greene

In case you missed the Draft. He seems like a real shy, soft spoken kid.

Cole Hamels went in for a "precautionary" MRI today, results unknown. Uh oh.

Thome hit his 600th home run. Now we can trade for him.

Thome just hit number 600. Naturally the whole Twins dugout emptied to celebrate with him. But there's still a game going on, 2 outs in the 7th, but his dad, wife and kids come out onto the field too... I know it's a huge milestone, but my feeling is that stuff can wait.

As Hollywood said, time for Thome to come back to Philly to try and get a ring. That would certainly be a great way to cap a Hall of Fame career. We need someone who can DH IF we make it to the Series

Could you just imagine Thome on the Postseason roster... and being available in a pinch (pun intended)... as well as DHing if they get to the WS?

Would almost make you sorry the NL won the All-Star Game.

When you accomplish a milestone that only 7 players in history have reached before you, I am perfectly fine with stopping the game.

Could you imagine the ovation he gets when he steps up to bat for the first time back in a Phils uniform?

I'm getting chills thinking about it...

Like, literally, stinks. Apparently if you strap a dude inside a rug in 90 degree heat for the whole summer, things happen.

Phanatic is dead last on the team in RBIs too. Say what you will about that stat, but he has freaking zero.

I would say that you are probably correct on that... To be honest, I often wonder how he he does it on hot days. I know he cuts down the activity on bad day... bu still.

... I hear Curly Howard's estate is suing him for stealing Curly's shtick.

Well, since we're on the subject of the Phanatic...

Might as well toss in a clip.

edit: and another...noteworthy because he continues rubbing this dude's head for an awkwardly long time:
