The one and only time I went there was when I got out of class early one night and I wanted to catch the last period of the game. I bought a bottle of Heineken (8$ lolololol) and watched the game. Some guy in a booth puked all over the place and then passed out while his girlfriend screamed at him, telling him to grow up. In response, he just lay in his own pile of vomit, unconscious. The people called an ambulance but the first responders were two fire trucks, so they came in, and just sort of stared at him while they waited for an ambulance to come.

Good times.

Back in my student days, 3 friends and I would split 2 tickets to a game. 2 guys got the 1st and 2nd period while the other 2 got the 3rd period and/or OT. We would get to the cage at 5 drink our faces off and switch in the 2nd intermission. Often, we would have more fun in the cage than in the rink itself. My only good memories of the place.

Boston Pizza was actually founded by a Canadian.... how he came up with that name, I dont know.

They have some in the states but the ones I've seen down there are simply called "Boston's"

Guy's I can confirm that Madisons New York Grill and Bar is opening in that location come October latest, I know one of the owners very well and one of my clients deal with Madisons who told me last week.

Baton Rouge will now have serious competition in that area!

I can't imagine the atmosphere at Madison's being very good to watch a game... their ribs are awesome, though.

Boston Pizza would be a good idea there, just make the stroke-out "Boston" permanent and replace it with "Montreal" or "Canadiens".

Isn't Madisons a pale copy of Baton Rouge, started by ex Baton Rouge employes?

Yes. Which is like back stabbing the mafia. I'm surprised he's not dead yet.

I went to the Cage at Centre Bell a few years ago with a buddy, his girlfriend, and a friend from Kentucky who had never seen a hockey game before. We took her out shopping for Habs merchandise then to Cage aux sports for wings and beer before heading inside for the game. The wings were lousy but we didn't care; the atmosphere before the game was great. I think Cage was more for the newbies and occasional attendees who want to experience all the atmosphere. Regulars know where else to go for good food.

Madisons imo is hit or miss. The one around here on Des Sources is fine but the one in Kirkland is beyond garbage. I'm sure the one at the Bell will be of a higher class though. Only time I went to that cage was like when it first opened It was actually good back then though, since then I've only been to the west island one and it's been horrible.

Madisons has some good stuff though I've just had mixed reviews with the ones here.

To be honest Baton Rouge around here is **** too. So is scores. Laval is where it's at for food I find. West Island is pretty bad unless you're talking some of the non-chains such as 40 West or Scarolies but hey I'm not a millionaire I won't be going to 40 West every week or anything

The Baton Rouge in Vaudreuil is much better as is the one by the Bell Center. The one place that was good around here imo was Boston Pizza and it was in a horrible locations, you'd have to be pretty low IQ to start a Boston Pizza in such a bad location and expect it to succeed honestly. On the bad side of the 40 near Sources of all place (The side of the 40 people go to downtown from, not the side people come home from, which is the time they'd be going out anyways)

La Cage aux Sports is NOT closed

Hi everyone,

La Cage aux Sports Centre Bell is NOT closed. Confusion is probably due to the renovations of the Centre Bell. The main entrance may be closed during renovations but the restaurant is always open. Our opening hours are available on our website at http://www.cage.ca/centre-bell.

Thank you.

There's 2 of them 5 minutes away from a baton rouge in the east end. The baton rouge does just fine still. Either way, anything over cage.

No, it was started by the owners of Scores (who recently sold Scores to the Baton Rouge group), Madisons is similar to Baton Rouge but cheaper and better portions of food.

2 for $22.00 on Sunday's

I was hopping it would have changed, really not a fan of La Cage. Atmosphere is great, but the food is really bad.

The only thing good about Le Cauge Aux Sports is the hot French barmaid's and waitresses, that's all. The beer is never cold, the food tastes microwaved and you can never get a seat after the warm up begins at any location.
