I think it's good, but crossed cannons make it look like the logo for the Boston Cannon's lacrosse team
Then again, we already did copy their mascot...
and yes, his name is...
Well, at least he looks less...phallic. In fact, if the stated goal was to make the cannon idea more kid-friendly, theirs does a much better job of it.
Not too bad. I am also not to big of fan of the baby blue. Just makes me think of the Penguins 3rd jersey. I am ok with red on the jersey, but not an all red jersey.

Oh and I miss Boomer!
That baby blue type would fit in with Union Soldier uniforms from the Civil War though. The Standard Uni was the dark blue overcoat and the lighter blue pants with the dark blue stripe on down the pant legs.
You just posted a red jersey, prepared to be flamed because we are the BLUE Jackets..
Personally, I love the idea of a red jersey but...
Some Union artillery units in the Union army wore red piped jackets.
Mostly I like the idea of a blue trimmed red jacket because it would look cool.
Yes, not a "blue jacket" but our sweaters also don't have brass buttons and pockets either. Mostly just not a fan of baby blue.

The pants were lighter blue, not the jacket.
I don't like the baby blue on the sweater.
If we want to get "Civil War-y" we would have lighter blue PANTS.
on the team website, they have a video explaining the process of making the third jersey. they showed a clip of one of the templates being considered, and i modified it. on the original, the cuffs are white and the yoke is a lighter tone of blue, but i changed it. enjoy!

How cool would this be with the team's Cannon logo?

Thats what my post said.... When I said "standard uni" I meant for the soldiers, not the CBJ players....

So what are you arguing with me about JF?
Would you like me to fix my intial post so that it clairifies that I was talking about the Civil War soldier and not the CBJ unis? I thought I just cleared that up....

Yes, please fix your original post.
The OP posted a 'dark' union blue and a "baby" blue version.
I was nastying on the baby blue version.
And FTR... I think there's a manly difference between the 'denim' blue of the typical union soldier pant color, and the girlie blue they added to the CBJ palette last year.
