His last name is already well known in hockey circles thanks to older brother P.K., who just finished a standout rookie season as a defenceman with the Montreal Canadiens.
Malcolm himself is the starting goalie for the OHL's Belleville Bulls, and also played for Canada at the last winter's World Under-18 Championship.
And younger brother Jordan plays defence and was selected fifth overall in the OHL priority draft by Belleville, where he will hopefully join Malcolm next season.

Didn't want to start a thread just for this, but I got a question:
Do you believe the Habs will go out of their way to draft Jordan Subban, by trading prospects and draft picks to move up? Would he even want to play on the same team as his big bro, possibly in his shadow?
I heard Jordan was better than PK, is there any truth into that? What kind of player is he?
Who knows at this point. What we do know is he's been on the radar for longer than PK was, and was drafted higher to the OHL than PK (Who either went quite late, or not at all, I forget). He's also projected and has a good chance of going higher in the NHL draft as well. All that could mean nothing at this point, especially considering everyone knows PK would be Top 3 if they re-drafted. Also, Jordan's draft status will likely benefit from PK's performance so far, he already has a lot of hype around him thanks to his brother.
From what I've heard, Jordan plays a very similar high octane game to PK, and I think I recall him saying he models his game after Shea Weber ()! No clue whether Jordan has the same defensive strengths as PK who (besides that freak stretch in the middle of the season) was really impressive IMO, or whether he'll turn into the physical specimen that PK is.

Well, I read that PK said that his brother was far better than him and the same age. That doesn't mean he'll progress as well as PK, though. And remember... Marian Hossa said Marcel was better than him too !

Older brothers and Wayne Gretzky... The two least trustworthy evaluators of talent.

Did Wayne say that Brent was better than him or what ?
Anyways, looking forward to see Jordan play in the OHL next year. Don't know if he is better than PK, but I wouldn't mind the Habs taking a chance on him in 2013 in the 2nd or 3rd round (Where I think he'll go, unless the "brother" factor is there, or that he really impresses everyone).
I'd like to play the Kings with all of them in the Habs lineup. Richards worst nightmare.
Yes, kind've like in 2005 when we drafted a goaltender with our number 5 pick...what were we thinking!
I love Price as much as the next guy, but if Theodore (among others) has taught us anything, it's that you can never be too safe.
Price held out for more money when he signed his last contract, I'm not convinced that he wants to be here as much as we need him to be here.
You misunderstood. I did say "unless we get the sense that...". I'm ALL for drafting a goalie for goalie depth, but to take a first round pick on a guy who doesn't have Price's upside when we're set in goal seems rather odd. At time of the 2005 draft at least montreal saw franchise in Price, who knows what they see in jordan.
