My vote goes to Avery. Roster is awfully deep this year. Third liners on last year's team didn't even crack the strarting lineup in our poll.

E.C. just because of his shootout prowess.

I think Avery and Christensen may both be extra forwards.

Picking EC on the higher likelihood.

That doesn't make any sense. He's an extra forward and would be a healthy scratch on most nights, which means if we ever made it to the shootout, he may be out of the lineup.

Besides we have Zucc, BRich and W.W for the 'skills competition' .

Avery because of his tenacity and energy. He's Avery...

If we have Richards, Zucc, and Wolski, there is no need for EC if we go to the shootout.

But EC can fill in a top 6 role if there is an injury, which there undoubtedly will be over the course of the year. We're probably going to have at least 82 man games at forward lost to injury on a year to year basis, so it isnt unreasonable for EC to actually play for much of the year.

If its an injury to a guy like Rupp or Prust, you use Avery but to Wolski, Stepan or Richards, you should use EC

Avery. I don't see the need to carry an extra center.

Voted for Avery, but it could go either way.

Avery: fits in on the bottom 2 lines and can create energy and agitate.

Christensen: Meshes with Gaborik and can play help us win some shootouts.

1 vote of Weise.

Avery most likely has no future here past this year.

Christensen is what he is, PAP 2.0.

Weise is actually at a crossroads in his career this year. He's either going to force his way onto this team, be part of a package if he doesn't, or meander around the AHL till his contract runs out that he signed this summer.

All that aside, if he doesn't turn heads in camp, but still shows that he's grown out of an AHL position, a platoon of him an MZA isn't a bad thing till one is clearly out performing the other on that 3rd line. Weise would be more helpful against "bigger" teams like SJ, ANH, STL, Bos, TO, or FLA. Then MZA could be used on nights against TB, Pitt, NYI, Col, CB, or MTL.

Voted Avery, they should both be our extra forwards though, unless Hagelin makes the team

Avery or EC....I voted Avery just because if he's motivated he brings more to the table than EC.

There should be a poll for the defensemen that goes.

Can we simply skip all the way to 3rd pairings?

Staal-Girardi
McD-Sauer

is as good as set in all our eyes.

I don't agree about the defense.
