Because he is the only player capable of being a natural center at the NHL level left. White is obviously a winger at the NHL level.

Everyone knows why, too. Going to get a jersey of him ?

Probably be Engqvist, unless he has a ****** camp.

Yup. And also, there is no spot for him. Darche/Moen/White are our 4th line wingers, there is only 1 spot left, and that spot is for a 4th line Center IMO.

Cammy Plek Cole
Pac Gomez Gio
DD Eller Kosty
Darche X Moen

White will not be the 13th forward. He deserve to be in the line-up every game.

I can't see anyway Blunden makes the team, what does he give us other then he is tall. He gets his a$$ kicked in every fight, he doesn't score or rack up assists so what does he do? Stupid signing when there were other players better then him available, konopka, Rupp, eager, and others. Just a poor job by the GM

Gauthier traded Ryan Russell for him, it was not a signing.

grtting an emergency call-up player for Ryan Russel is a very good trade, Fortier will cover his role anyways. I just don't wan him on the starting line-up. Get an enforcer like Winchester or whoever or play Engqvist 1st.

lmao and here I thought me not paying attention to HF for awhile, I would miss something. Apparently not.

Blunden was in a straight up deal for Ryan Russel. Epic trade no matter how you slice it, so people should stop whining, and wait to see what happens. Blunden will be better than Russell imo, the bar wasn't set very high. Fighting you can always get better at, and the type of game he plays is perfect for our 4th line, because his gritty attitude, and play style is what we are lacking.

What did he prove? Absolutly nothing. So yes, he can be the 13th forward...darche and moen are ahead of him, thats for sure.

Darche over White? Hell no! White is the only player on the team that brings energy another way then just scoring goals, he's way too valuable to us to e the 13th forward.

I think you forget how effective Darche is. Nevertheless, I agree about White having to be in the lineup

Blunden is big, physical, cheap and has some pedigree. How is it a bad move to trade Russell for him?????

How exactly is this 'Epic', or are you just trying to be dramatic?

It's the fact that we got someone with even a tiny chance to make the NHL for Russel is what Yarf thinks is epic. I think.

Not the word I'd use, but i'm happy with the trade.

He is a handy player to have because he has decent enough hands to fill in for injuries i n the top 9.

The only problem I have is I don't like him on the 4th line with White. It isn't an ideal situation to have two slow wingers on a supposed energy line.

Are you saying that Ryan White is slow?

I love his heart and effort but he is slow. He has improved his speed over the last couple of years to the point that he can now play in the NHL.

Relative to other NHLers he is probably somewhere around the 20th percentile as a skater........that is slow.

It helps that he always has his feet moving so he is rarely caught flat footed but skating will always be his biggest weakness.
