Don't you think Ted Irvine with his physicality would fit better on a smash-mouth third line with the Bullies? As it stands right now, I can't see your defensive shut down being the best in this draft if you're going to have issues shutting down some of the RWs such as Larouche (This Matchup), Drozdetsky, McDougall, Lukac, etc.

Basically I'm looking for some sort of confirmation of Duguay's ability defensively.
Check our Duguay bio. It has several quotes about him being an able PKer, even pairing up with Bob Gainey in the Canada Cup (I think...). That would be the closest we have to indication of defensive prowess for Duguay.

Just finished the rest of my comparison, to close it out, I will include factors as to why the Express should defeat the Dragons.

- More productive, faster first line. No glaring holes on the line.
- All four lines can contribute offense, and the bottom three lines all provide a good two-way element.
- Very strong, versatile third line who will checkmate the oppositions scoring lines, and will be able to contribute a fair sum of offense.

- Good defense core that has marquee offensive and defensive players.
- Strong special teams units that will excel in the opportunities given.
- Good goaltending tandem that has playoff prowess.
- Contending roster with many strong points.

Thanks everyone, I hope I have influenced you somehow to vote in me and Dwight's favor, who for the second year in a row, had a lot of fun constructing and discussing this team.

New York triumphs in 7 games in a francophone-dominated series!

3 stars:

1. Guy Chouinard
2. Dan Bouchard
3. Pierre Larouche

Congrats to Dwight and Velo on their win in this series, it was a hard fought series and well-argued series on both our parts.

I enjoyed doing this on my own and will be back for the AAA draft in the fall.

Thanks a lot Tony, I appreciate it. You drafted a great solo entry in your first opportunity. Looking forward to seeing your work in the AAA draft.
