The only thing holding my interest at this point is the diabolical 18th hole. Furyk just hit it in the water..........twice!

I hope one of Westwood, Donald, Schwartzel or Scott go out and shoot a 65 or even go Johnny Miller and shoot a 63 and really make it interesting. I really don't want another Ben Curtis style winner that a guy like Dufner would be. It would also be cool for Stricker to finally get his major. I expect to see at least some collapsing from the three guys at the top, their play was great yesterday going a combined -7 but if Dustin Johnson, Nick Watney and Rory McIlroy can all implode when leading a major on Sunday in the last couple years I don't like the three at the tops' chances of all keeping it together.

I'm hoping for Stricker (great player, deserves to win a major) or Schwartzl (2 majors this year would be huge and set him up as McIlroy's main "rival" for the years to come).

I think at least one of the 3 guys at the top will stay there. There other two will probably not be able to deal with the pressure.

Somebody who is -2 or -3 will probably make a surge. I'm pulling for Scott, again.

The only thing for certain is that the ratings will be very poor.

Probably the most boring cast of golfers at the top in a while.

WOW I can't believe Bradley fired right at the pin on 18. He and Dufner are in the same spot on the green, Bradley has a 2 shot lead. This should be over.

One of the best final rounds of golf in years. Great TV to say the least.

PGA.com Has Record-Setting Day Online with Opening Round Coverage of the 2011 PGA Championship

Site Delivers Single-Day Record for PGA Championship with 2.1 Million Unique Users

PGA.comís extensive online coverage of the 93rd PGA Championship at the Atlanta Athletic Club featuring marquee group pairings, delivered a record-setting start to the first round of the seasonís final major golf championship, setting new single day records with 2,100,000 unique users (up +22% vs. 2010) and 974,000 live streams (up +9%) for first round coverage of the PGA Championship. PGA.com followed the two marquee groups of Tiger Woods, Davis Love III and Padraig Harrington, along with Rory McIlroy, Darren Clarke and Charl Schwartzel. The two pairings helped draw 52.7 million page views (up +28%) for Thursdayís coverage. Mobile traffic also saw significant growth with 1.1 million WAP page views (up 65% vs. 2010).

So, even with Tiger where he is in his career, he's still THE draw of the PGA Tour. I assure you that Tiger shooting 77 is the PGA and network's worst nightmare. Assuming Tiger doesn't come back today and shoot in the low 60's, expect the weekend ratings to be mediocre at best.

Whether you hate the guy or not, the bottom line is that golf needs Tiger Woods.
Part of that equation is there are people out there(like my old man)who are diehard golf fans who LOVE to see him struggle. Or just in general, we love watching stars crumble and appearing....somewhat normal.

A lot of that goes to Dufner though, he simply gave it away.

HA, you got it mixed up. Kinda funny.

That Karlsson guy made a charge but fizzled a bit down the stretch. It's too bad, had he parred in after that Eagle he woulda been in that Playoff, little did he know then tho.

Felt bad for Dufner. Guys like him, you know it's going to be their only shot at it. I'll be damned though if CBS didn't nail it when he stepped to the tee at 15 after Keegan Bradley put up a 6 on a Par 3 and claimed that it wasn't over. When someone outright collapses, it is total theater. I thought Dufner was starting to feel the pressure a few holes before that. Anders Hansen too, he had a chance to get a piece of it, and inexplicably came apart as well.

Exactly. I feel bad for Dufner eventhough he was virtually an unknown heading into that but you will probably never see him again on that stage
