What are our chances of drafting Jordan Subban? He's gonna be one all 30 teams' radar..
Not too sure about that. He's listed at 5'9 by the OHL and he turned 16 last March. At this point, I'd be very surprised if he reaches PK's height.
Their might be bigger concerns about him than PK, especially since they already see the same flaw (defensively risky player) that they saw in Subban, but Jordan is also smaller...
And even if he has very good stats, teams will be warry about this type of D-man.
Yeah, because you know we didn't let PK improve for three years to be what he is today or anything
Huh?! Maybe I misunderstood your post?
PK Subban to me is our #1 dman...he was our #1 dman ever since he came into the 2010 playoffs to help us be such a better team (all this while Markov was injured...which is pretty much all the time since 3+ seasons now).
1. PK Subban
2. Markov
3. Gorges (Gorges is our 2bd best dman, imo, when Markov goes down to an injury)
4. Gill (maybe Emelin? I'm hoping!)
5. Spacek? Emelin? Weber?
6. Emelin? Weber?
7. Emelin? Weber?

You did misunderstood his post.
He was saying we let Subban about 3 years to develop in the OHL and the Dogs before calling him up. We should do the same with his brother WHEN we draft him, so don't expect to see a Subban-Subban duo before 5 years.

We'll have 3 cups by then anyway...
Thanks. I did misunderstand him...he's right though. PK was fast at developing (outstanding skater, ultra-skilled) but still needed some ahl time (not a lot though).
I do have unrealistic lineups (2-3 years from now).
Jordan might only be ready in 5 yrs, gosh...that's a long time from now.
I know you're only kidding but I remember hearing they have a cousin with a really off chance at making it (no where near the talent of Jordan/PK) and I believe his named was Jared
Man, we should just try to get families to play for us. The Staals, Lundqvists, Subbans, Moulson and Quick, Price/Ellerby/Doan, Koivu's, Schenns, that'd be so awesome!

That guy is Marselis Subban, playing for the London Knights in the OHL.
I'd be really happy to get two of the Subban's who aren't Malcolm. With Malcolm I'd be happy but I really do have enough faith in Price to realize Malcolm would only be a good selection if he was a career backup. With Price already being friends with PK I see no reason why Malcolm would want to play for another team if he had the skills of a backup. If he was good enough to be a #1 I doubt it would work.

I really really hope we get Jordan Subban
And if Price starts asking for way too much, then I'll hope Malcom is drafted by Mtl. But Jordan's the one I really want our Habs to draft (and if not...I'm still extremely excited about PK wearing the CH and still can't get over the fact that he was drafted in the 2nd Rnd only ).

And people try to say we never get a Datsyuk or Zetterberg. It's like they expect us to get 3 Subban's in every draft and every 1st rounder to be a grand slam home run. This is the real world and in it getting one of those players late in a 5-10 year span is great. If you can manage to get other NHL players that become trade-able assets down the road that helps too. Not everyone has to be Subban either, some can be Weber, O'Byrne etc, better than Fischer.
