Parenteau

I know that he is an upcoming UFA, and I was wondering if the Islanders intend to re-sign him? If not then would be available around the trade deadline and what do you feel would be fair compensation from Philadelphia?

My offer:

Andreas Nodl
pick or prospect

PA Parenteau

Let me know, thanks.

Assuming the Islanders out of the playoff race I would guess 4th rounder, 3rd if there is enough teams bidding. That being said Snow has a bad habit of not dumping players unless he gets good value(see Zonopka and Martinek)

No dice, you're better off getting him as a free agent. Parenteau plays with JT and MM because he is a right handed playmaking winger. So until Strome (just my guess) is ready or unless they upgrade (not Nodl) then Parenteau has to play there.

Firstly a 4th for a guy who scored 50 points? What are you nuts.

Secondly, why should he trade players for less than good value? Just to get something? That's exactly how you build a reputation among the other GMs as a guy who can be taken advantage of. I'm glad that he'd rather hold onto role players in a lost season then just get a 7th round pick for them if he values them as a 3rd round pick.

I would love to see Parenteau traded. The fact that this guy is playing on the first line is terrible. Tavares deserves better than to play with this hack

It depends on who can help the Islanders the most for their playoff run. My top choices from the Flyers would be Mike Richards or Jeff Carter.

how about a B level Defenseman prospect and a 3rd round pick... assuming its trade deadline time were out of the playoff race and he's having a good year

Only if you're interested in one of Gustafssson, Lehtivuori, Marshall, Bourdon, Bartulis.

Well, Mr. Flyer fan is suggesting this trade because he's assuming the Islanders will be out of the playoff picture and the Flyers are a sure thing. I happen to think the Flyers tooks a step back with some of their trades.

So it might just be possible that the Islanders will be trying to get playoff help from the Flyers, and not the other way around.

Isn't Nodl a RH shot? If so I look long and hard at that move pending on where we are at that point of the year.

If he seriously thinks that Zenon Konopka is worth a 3rd round pick, he's an idiot.

Y konopka is Safeway leader, locker room prescence Andrade off man while a 3rd shockingly will most likely amount to nothing

If Clarke (and uhhhh, we are talking about Clarke here) were to offer Gustafsson and Nodl for Parenteau, I'd have to think that Snow would give that some real good consideration. Real good...

Clarke?

I would not offer both of them for Parenteau. Counter:

Gustafsson
2012 3rd (or mid level prospect)

or

Nodl
2012 3rd (or mid level prospect)

I'd do it for a second round pick straight up.

Done, where do I sign? Get Garth on the phone... Oh wait Bobby Clarke isnt the GM anymore so they probably would never consider doing this.

50 points.....a third.....got it. OK. Parenteau can't possibly improve from 50 points with some work on his stickhandling or timing. We better just give him away for a 7th before anyone finds out he's a 50 point player no one likes.

I should be a GM, 'aight?

correct me If I'm wrong but Strome plays Center, not Wing (which even surprises me why we even picked him.
OH YEAH I RECALL - NEW JERSEY STOLE LARSSON FROM UNDER OUR NOSE WITH THE STUPID LOTTERY

when Matt Moulson was playing with JT he showed he had more bite than people thought. Just because he's an ex-ranger and not an established top caliber sniper doesn't mean he's not worth anything

a 20 goal scorer in the first full season is something to hold onto. as long as they don't pull Trent Hunter

Do you see any holes in his game as well? I am betting you do, and don't see him as a 1st liner on an average team, except when there are injuries involved.
