My take on the preseason games this weekend.

- A couple of picks vs a rookie QB and WR in the rain who are also Bungals - BFD
- Ground & Pound was grounded aginst the Bungals.
- Seriously we should have dominated them in the 1st half.
- I was not impressed at all. Hopefully this is a preseason sort of thing.

- Shame about TT being out. I hate the Giants but I feel your pain.
- Must feel like losing Kris Jenkins twice. It really sucks.
- Eli was not at his best but running game seemed solid.
- But Briggs didn't play and Urlacher/Peppers only played a quarter so not sure what to take from it.

- How often do the Jets and Giants play at home on consecutive days? Field must have been crap.

No longer is it a question of "Will an impact player go down," it is now a question of "When will they go down." Seems like every year someone on the Giants gets a season ending injury early on in the season or in the pre-season. Last year it was Hixon, Kenny Phillips the year before that, Osi the year before that, and Kiwi and Shockey during the Super Bowl year. I have come to accept the fact that the injury bug will bite one of our starters at some point early on. Its just a matter of who.

We need Kelvin Hayden to solidify that position.

With Hayden we can still run a respectable dime package with Grant in. Without him we need to play a below-average player like Coe or Sash which would instantly become a weak spot.

Said before the year our opportunity to improve this team would come through the draft.

1st round pick; injured
2nd round pick; injured
3rd round pick; sucks so far
4th round pick; injured

Sorry but the Bengals did not look good. The lone bright spot is that they're not the Raiders.

Un-****ing-believable. Seriously, **** the lock-out. Nothing good came of it (other than the rookie wage scale) and now players are dropping like flies because of a lack of pre-season prep.

I don't know what happened to Thomas but I don't think you can blame the lockout for what happened to TT or Prince.

This is the last season on T2's contract, is it not?

If so I hope they don't piddle around and let him become a free agent.

He should be healthy by next season.

I'll agree they didn't look good on offense, but I watched and rewatched pretty closely and they weren't quite as bad as it first looked

Guys were open, dalton made the right decisions, didn't look flustered or rushed in the pocket, but just threw the ball terribly....hopefully that's something that will get better with increased snaps as he's supposed to be an accurate passer

The first team D looked solid too

the players were thrown out in to full on games after training for less then 3 weeks. You better believe that all that wasted time during the offseason where they were unable to prepare played a part in each of their injuries. Their bodies were not prepped and ready, and injuries occur because of the lost time

lolwut?

Players are getting hurt all over. The lack of strength and conditioning training is at fault for all of this. Everyone knew this coming in. I mean, EVERYONE out there was predicting a ****ton of injuries for players since they missed out on that. And guess what? It's coming true.
