Phantoms going out of business...?

A friend of mine in work said that he heard a rumor that the Phantoms are in danger of going out of business?

Has anyone else heard anything about this to substantiate this rumor? Could this possibly be true?!?

It would be hard to believe. Attendance slipped last year, but it ws still 6th best in the AHL. Only question I would have is how many of those tickets were bought as compared to given away in different promotional capaigns.

Also even if they aren't making money they give the Spectrum an extra 40 dates a year, which helps to make that a viable building.

I don't see how. Plenty of money in the organization, and they sell well too.

Not a chance man, I work for the Trenton Titans, we would definitly have heard something about this if there was ANY chance of it happening because we send out prospects to the Phantoms and they send their stinkers to us.

True, The FLYERS won't let the Phantom's fail.
Attendance is down everywhere. It's just a fact of the times.

Unfortunately, "A friend of mine" is always a lame and questionable source, regardless of its true credibility.

I could easily say, "I friend of mine who works in the Flyers practice facility said that they're bringing cechamenk back for John LeClair."

Just because they're owned by someone rich, doesn't mean that they aren't losing money.

WNBA is owned by the NBA, one of the biggest money making organizations in the owrld, and is losing millions and millions of dollars a year.

Guys, I just heard something from someone who seems to know a lot about hockey. I didn't know if it was a credible rumor or not, but that's why I decided to ask if anyone had heard the same. Simple as that.

Sorry if it came off as a "flaming", I meant no offense.
