There is nothing that Toronto wants on Pittsburgh side that won't cost them an arm and a leg.

Personally, having no bias to either team, a trade involving Kulemin for Staal is very close to being close in value. If you then put into factor that Crosby might not be healthy, Staal's value increases by a lot.

Kulemin does not have more value than Staal, however Toronto is unlikely to make the trade regardless.

Truth be told, the ONLY piece that the Leafs would want is Staal (Yes, I'm sure the Leafs would take Crosby, Malkin, Letang but that's not really the point here).

Leafs would upgrade from Kulemin. Not downgrade. And I just can't see for lesser pieces and its not like the Leafs need to dump cap space.

On the other hand, I can't imagine the Pens trading Staal for Kulemin so I don't see it happening.

If I'm Toronto then I'd be holding onto Kulemin regardless of what the Pens offer just to keep him the hell away from Malkin. They would completely tear up the EC together, nevermind having Neal-Crosby on top of that.

It wouldn't surprise me if this is true, it's common knowledge that Pittsburgh could use better wingers to play with crosby.

If it is true, not surprised BB turned it down though.
