Let me rephrase that. I will not request the thread be closed, I meant I will make it known that joining is closed. Then when I have the leagues set up, I will post all of the leagues with HF usernames, and I'll need one volunteer from each league to be commissioner and set up his league. More tomorrow guys.
also i usually run an hf league on yahoo. i know we always have the champions league and things like that from year to year also based on who wins in the yahoo hf nyr leagues, theres usually 3 or 4 leagues and then a champions league if i remember correctly

Based on the poll, it's going to be a free league, which is 100% fine. If you end up in another league than I am, I assume you wouldn't mind being commish?

not at all, but based on the responses in the thread, not in the poll, people want to also do a pay league..
There's usually multitude of Fantasy threads that pop up when yahoo opens. Someone interested in a pay league should just set one up with its own thread when the time comes.
I'm definitely down. I don't mind joining the free or pay league.

Well based on how many want to play, there will probably be 4 leagues, possibly 5. I'm putting the names in a hat and randomly putting the leagues together. If you happen to not be in my league, you can be a commish, makes it easier for me knowing I have someone already who wants to do it. Thanks.

I like it, no doubt there will be at least 4. Also, if the Champion's League hasn't moved forward since the last time I participated, I'd like to see us restart that as well (I believe it was the top 3 or 4 teams from each league duking it out aside from the main pool). How many teams per league (maybe 12)?
Can someone explain the Champions League that you guys are talking about. Sounds like your saying its for the winners of each of the leagues we are going to set up. So is this something for future years, or some of you guys are already considered to be in that Champions League, sorry kind of confused.

I've been running "Champions League" for about 5 or 6 years now. Top 6 in that league get automatic invites. I open up the rest of the spots to winners form other leagues that were posted in this thread. In the past, we've been taking top 2 or 3 from those leagues, but it all depends on how many spots there are, how many league we're pulling from, how many people are interested in playing, etc.
I've had miserable luck with leagues open to anyone and everyone. You've got people killing themselves to get in one in late August, but can't be bothered to ever actually play. Just be careful who you're getting involved with. Look at their Yahoo historical record and make sure they're committed to sticking with it.

Exact same thing happened last year. Joined three leagues (all through here). People right around now were clamoring to get into the league, and by the end, only 2-3 people (including myself) in each league actually kept up with it. UnholyPrince can vouch for me, I'm pretty sure I was in all three leagues with him. I'll be pretty disappointed if we end up making like 5 leagues with only 2-3 people active in each league after the first month of the season.
I was in 1st place in my league last year the whole 1st half of the season. Crosby got his concussion and that was that. I fell down and finished in 7th.
I've done ESPN FBB a couple of times even though I'm not much of a BB fan...lol. I love hockey though I haven't done FH in probably a decade, I'd love to do one.
