Kings Top Prospect

There seemed to be a demand for this, so I figured I'd start the poll to do the boards top 20 prospects. Vote for who you want and say who you want added to as a replacement for the next poll.

I guess I would vote for Voynov, I think he has higher potential and ability than Loktionov currently. Add Gibson.

Took Lokti by a thread. Definitely put Gibson in for the next thread.

LoL, totally wasn't thinking about 2011 draft selections. Gibson should definitely get the vote, he should already be on the list

He might have the most potential out of any prospect (except maybe Forbort), bu he is still very raw. I wouldn't put him at #1, but I'd probably do:

1. Lokti
2. Voynov
3. Toffoli
4. Forbort
5. Gibson

Was torn between the two Russians, went with Voinov, but either one could emerge the better player.....hoping for 2 great careers.

I mean a vote to be added onto the poll list next. There are no 2011 prospects on the poll, and a few of them definitely could compete for top 10...

It's between the Russians for me, I'd give the edge to Lokti.

Isn't Bernier still a prospect? He's clearly #1.

He is not by NHL.com standards, which states that a "rookie" is someone that has played less than 25 games in a season.

Yes by Hockey Future, no by NHL.com apparently I guess we are going with the latter.

I elected to not put Bernier on the list. To me, prospects are about the future faces of the team and while Bernier's status on the team will grow, there is no doubt he has cemented himself as an NHLer now.

Vote VV was temped to vote for Toffoli I think he is for sure to make this team in a couple of years. And he is going to be a great goals scorer. I have a feeling VV and loki won't be on our team and will either get traded away in a year or 2 but I hope I am wrong

He has lots of skill. On the smaller side but has good hands and good hockey sense.

I picked Forbort for the BEST future potential and I'm buying into the hype.

To make this more challenging, we should take this poll in random order. Say, start at #5, then go to #11. Our frankenstein list would be hilarious.

ND would probably be my favorite player of the bunch but I voted for Lokti.

Will Lokti ever play a full season for the kings?

Toffoli will be a Heatley type player for the Kings when he's ready for the NHL. Maybe a little more playmaking ability in him than Heatley has.

Can't wait to see Lotki and Toffoli on a line down the road lighting up the lamp.

That's shooting pretty high, I hope it turns out that way. Toffoli probably has the best chance out of all Kings prospects to succeed. Mainly because he is one of the very few that actually plays a position that he can grow into on the roster. By the time Williams' contract is up, Toffoli should be NHL ready, that and the third line right wing slot is contestable, so he has a way to make the team and ramp up into a greater role. No other Kings prospect can say the same.
