Gionta is about goals more than points, and is an example for the guys in terms of effort level and character

You'll get no questions from me about ak's talent and his ability to dominate when he's on his game...

Keep in mind that I am putting together gionta's full tenure as a hab so far... not a 1 season snapshot... he's been consistent.

Relative to position certainly. Markov's assist totals are top-notch for a defenseman. 40-50 assists per 82 games is about what you'd expect from a mid-level number one center and he manages it from the blueline..

We know this, Markov is the bomb, but forwards have been the topic of discussion.

Well to be fair pretty much every player from Quebec gets asked why they're not a Habs or if they would want to be a Habs now or later at pretty much every single interview they ever get. Or if they're not asked, the interviewer will make the point as to why the organization failed in not acquiring him.

No doubt Markov is amazing... when he's not hurt that is. And he's ALWAYS hurt now. I just wish he would stay healthy because when he's not healthy, he just becomes a cancer to the team. Sure, we always manage to do very well when he's hurt, but it doesn't cover up the fact that it's frustrating to see a defender of his calibor always sidelined. We have gained alot of depth in defence over the years and this will certainly help if Markov gets injured yet again.
