Proposal: YAHOO! Fantasy Hockey League

Have always wanted to try fantasy hockey, I'm interested if there's still space!

I know its early, but I am pumped to compete with my fellow fans. What kind of stat categories we looking at?

Normal head to head. Goals, Assists, +/-, GAA, SV%, SO, W, that's all I can think of off the top of my head. When Yahoo opens up Hockey, I'll know

True. I am sure you know what your doing, but I've been in leagues that didnt.

Suggestions:

Equal amount of Skater/Goalie stats. Unless their are reasons for having it any other way, I think equal stats leads to better draft strategy.

If they offer it, I like the win-loss records (Ex. 1-0,0-1) instead of the statistic standings (Ex. 7-3, 6-2-1). Creates tighter races, and keeps bottom teams interested more with better chance of making playoffs, which hopefully eliminates those giving up late in season).
Don't think Yahoo offered it last season, but just a suggestion for if they do this year.

I do statistic standings. Win, Loss, Tie. And they add up to points just like regular hockey. 2 points for a win, 0 for a loss, 1 for a tie.

So at this point, you put the names in a hat, and split them up into as many leagues as is necessary and then whoever is the Commish of that league will create it?

Yes, although at the moment, I am watching Seinfeld

I do max yahoo leagues every year. I will join any HF ones going, I am active all season, and run 8 teams competitively, so you can't count on me to fight to the end.
