Yea I don't mind. I was never a commissioner before (I at least know what I'm doing, so don't worry).

There are many strategies, but usually following hot hands and prior stats is the safest.

If there is no limit to games played in the league, then go buck wild and max the roster out every night. Just be careful if the league has max moves that can be made on the waiver wire, don't go emptying your bench nightly just to fill the roster. You will screw yourself over if players get hurt and you cannot replace them. Not to mention changing rosters completely every night in leagues with no max games, and no max moves is generally frowned upon.

A good comm will set max moves, max games is okay to go without.

Edit: A good commissioner.
I guess I'm a good commish

Max games keeps it interesting though, from my experiences. Otherwise everybody just loads up. Max games adds a lot more strategy .

Still waiting for volunteers to commish leagues 1, 3, and 4
Make sure to let everyone know what stats you will be running too. Let everyone participate in the same kind of league, this way if you do that Champions League you guys were talking about next year, its all off an even format.

League 5 crown is MINE!

Edit: Basically let the commisioners know every rule you do. From playoff format, to move maxs, to goalie start requirements.

Can we also make some rule, saying if someone gives up on their team late in the year, then they will not be allowed to join next year? Whether its commisioner or not, I can do it for my league, someone keep tabs on roster activity (which I believe yahoo has a tab for, atleast for Baseball they do). Just a suggestion, I hate leagues where people give up. Happens a lot in free leagues.

How do the paid leagues work? Let's say if everyone puts in 20, does the winner get everyone's 20 bucks or what?

Interesting. Is there a playoffs or anything, or just regular season?

I might be interested...let's see how much i'll need the 20 bucks as a college student first.

I'll commish league 3 if nobody else wants to step up. I've never commissioned a league before, but I've been playing fantasy hockey on Yahoo for the past six seasons.

I just had a crazy idea. Don't know how this would work but maybe it could happen if enough people want to do it.

How about a "champions league" for the top teams? The top two teams from each league face off in a tournament format against each other. This would kind of be hard to do though as we are just starting out, as in it would be hard to determine seeding without standings from a previous season.

Cant speak for him, as he is the commisoner. But I have never done a fantasy league that didnt have playoffs, so assume playoffs. Usually fantasy regular seasons end 2-3 weeks before season does. And those final 2-3 weeks (depending on how many playoff teams) are for playoffs
