That and the cap will be higher, no doubt.

Damn, I think DW is looking to take next offseason off. He's done the work of 2 offseasons in 1. (Knock on wood)

DW's to-do for the off-season.

Get rid of wallin and huskins. Check
Acquire #2 Dman. Check
Get Heatley's contract off the books. Check
Acquire more speed for the top 6. Check
Acquire bodies need to improve PK. Check
Acquire Defensive depth. Check
Resign Burns. Check
Resign Couture. Check

Acquire 3rd line scoring winger.

Is there anything I'm missing? What an amazing off-season by DW.

Havlat replaces Seto's speed so the top six still only has 2 speedsters like last year.

DW has been on fire though. Don't forget about Yawney. Sharks fans wanted him gone and lo and behold, he "stepped down" to find another job. Sure he did

So, what do Sharks fans want DW to do next?? Make Marleau lose his beer gut? Make Thornton lose his man boobs? Get a third liner?

Boyle will retire at that point, so that's over 6 million in cap space.

I think it'll be in the $3.0 - 3.2 range per season.

I think people are underestimating what Logan is going to get. I know he's still RFA, but still.

I'll predict 2 years 7million

This is a very important often over-looked aspect of this off-season. To me, it means the loss of the stupid PK system he was running last year, and hopefully a wake-up to the Koala.

Patty was looking pretty svelte on the ice yesterday, until he tripped and fell on his face.

I hope that Boyle will re-sign at like $2M for a year or two at that point. He keeps himself in ridiculous shape, and by then he should sti be able to serve as a bottom pairing PPQB specialist.

As for Logan, I'm hoping he gets around $3M tops.

Thornton didn't have man boobs. Heater did and DW solved that problem. Thornton just has a chest of a 12 year old boy, it's all.

Hmm. Maybe I should look closer at a 30 year old man's chest. Or not...

wouldn't be sharks hockey if someone wasn't tripping on their skates. I'm just glad Patty the true captain is still showing the rooks how it's done.

I know DW is slowly revealing himself to be a magic man this offseason but that seems a little low for Juicy to get.

I know that there are different circumstances for these but from a black-and-white perspective, I don't think Couture should get paid more than Pavelski, but he definitely should get more than what Setoguchi got.

I agree. I'm feeling 3.5 per year. More than Seto, less than Pavs.

seeing what doughty and johnson did for the kings against us in the postseason, at that point we wouldn't even need anything but filler ahl kids on the lower lines, haha.

Im going to go with 2 yrs/6.4 million. Even if it's $4 million DW has done a great job to get the signing over with before the season starts.

The official Couture contract annual cap hit ratings:

1. <$2,000,000 Legendary
2. $2m-2.5m Amazing
3. $2.5m-3m Fantastic
4. $3m-3.5m Great
5. $3.5-4.0 Good

...

10. $7m+ Doug Wilson balances out a personally outstanding offseason with an ass contract

Holy **** am I tired. Why did I just type that? I dunno. I sleep now.
