And how many articles can I post from respected sources that say Nintendo is in dire straights at the moment?
I didn't deny that they are in a difficult position at the moment. The 3DS is struggling to gain traction, and no one quite knows what to make of the WiiU.
All I said was that it is foolish and premature to count them out.
Especially since people predicted the death of Nintendo's hardware biz back in the N64/Gamecube era as well. Said they would soon follow Sega into a software-only business. Instead, they released two of the best-selling video game systems (DS and Wii) of all time.
I'm not saying they're guaranteed to succeed. But they have enough of a track record in the video game business to deserve the benefit of the doubt, and take a wait-and-see approach.
I still think the only thing that can save the Wii are Xenoblade, Last Story and that tower defense one... and they aren't in the US. I think Last Story or Xenoblade was trademarked in the US... but nothing other than that. I know someone who is already homebrewing his Wii just so he can play Xenoblade.

Probably not coming to the US at this point. Fans begged for the games, Nintendo said LOL.
I'm surprised there are Wii owners who still haven't installed homebrew on their console. Free, legal, easy to do and takes 5 minutes, sounds like a good deal to get a ton more enjoyment out of your Wii.

I actually don't have it homebrewed because I've used it once in the past year or 2 . I should maybe do it for Xenoblade and Last Story.
The article talks about consoles being on the decline with the advent of powerful smart phones that can do the same thing... am I the only one that's really worried about that? More specifically the problem I have with gaming on a smartphone is you have to tie yourself to one of the many ****** and overpriced telecom companies we have in North America. I know most people have jumped on the smartphone bandwagon regardless but personally I don't want to have to work through the likes of Rogers and Bell for my gaming needs.
the WiiU looks great. I have never been an Nintendo guy, but i would buy that. Does anyone know if this is the concept of playstation ?http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RyFmxNLH0YA
They'd be expensive anyway, you can get a good length HDMI cable that isn't sold by MS a lot cheaper.
Either way I would be pissed if I bought my first xbox 360 only to bring it home to my 50inch 1080p tv and not be able to use it to its intended potential.
Just curious does the ps3 come with component or hdmi?

Why? So you have to buy a 10 dollar HDMI cable, it's not the end of the world.
