Puck drop game seven in the wings series before last. I thought, "Holy ****, we might actually pull this off." I was wrong, but a nice moment nonetheless. I'm rarely optimistic.

For me, it was the Kolanos goal. We were one section off the net and 5 rows up when my daughter and I saw that goal. For as good as the video might be, the place was as electric as I have ever seen, for any sport. As to the worst, I was there for that high angle shot to end the last game before the lock out at the Job. It felt like a funeral in there.

For me it's definitely the end of game 7 when the fans chanted at the end of the game. It's a combination of all the bs we took that year about how crappy AZ fans are, how much we overachieved that season and how we were able to take it to game 7. That one had my eyes on the verge of watering.

Yeah, that was quite a moment. Watching the whole crowd stay while the team was getting manhandled for the entire game, without anyone booing, and giving the players a standing ovation after that embarrassing loss made me feel like maybe, just maybe, this market has enough passion to support an NHL team long-term.
Dunno if I have on single favorite moment, but one of my favorite moments of a game I attended was the last home game of the '09'-'10 season against Nashville. Doan had like a 20 game, or something, goalless streak and sitting behind the net in the upper level, you see for a second a loose puck in front of Rinne and Doan come's bowling in to put the puck in as he hits the boards behind the net.
That game was certainly stunning as well. I was covering an NAU bball game (which was an amazing comeback in its own right) and checked the score once, saw it was bad. Checked again after bball game and BAM! The win!
But, my favorite moment is that first period against the Kings last year during one of the "dollar" games. Full barn, rival teams, good atmosphere and just a ridiculous first period.
