Of course I know what you're talking about. My father works in Beauport.

I have some friends who go there aswell. Not to mention, they have to pass on the bridges to go there.

Ok, I went on to take my shower 20 minutes ago. I come out, look by the window of my room... And there's a freaking tree covering half my road... And there's a car under.

Saw some trees down in Lachine, talked to a friend in NDG, they have no power there.

Still... some people have died.

Yep! CNN reporting 19 dead so far. Including a child crushed by a tree.

Yeah, everyone's okay. Nobody was walking there, and the tree didn't damage any house - only that car.

Yes, it was still a hurricane, so of course there is going to be some flooding and damage and yes, loss of life. I just meant a doozy would've caused a lot, and I mean a lot more of the above mainly because of it's trajectory. That's what created the hype.

Any news locally? While I was asleep, my wife said she heard some strange noises followed by sirens shortly after. I also heard sirens earlier, when I went out to the store.

It's scary to think that if it were a category 2-4 the damage to this area would be fairly bad but the damage to a place like NYC could be huge.

Mainly broken branches and tree and power outages I think.

What's scary now is that it will got stronger by midnight I think, and only had of the tree fell... It got "decapicated". The other half is still standing, and it's likely to be weaker now. X_x
