10 ready to make impact on new NHL teams

Quote:
With NHL training camps roughly three weeks away, here is my list of the 10 players who moved this summer and will have the biggest impact on their new teams
Quote:
1. Ilya Bryzgalov (Philadelphia)
2. Mike Richards (Los Angeles)
3. Roman Hamrlik (Washington)
4. Jeff Carter (Columbus)
5. Brent Burns (San Jose)
6. Brad Richards (New York)
Quote:
7. Robyn Regehr (Buffalo): With Ryan Miller in net, the Sabres' primary mission should be to surround him with defensemen who augment Miller's talent by playing stingy defense. Regehr is a defense-first player with size, strength and experience. He will be a devoted sentinel in front of Miller.
Quote:
8. Erik Cole (Montreal)
9. J.M. Liles (Toronto)
10. Brian Campbell (Florida)

I had a similar reaction when seeing Hamrlik, Liles and Campbell listed...

Yeah. Otherwise I think its a pretty good list. Only I think the Bryzgalov impact on Philly may be a year too late. It will depend on how quickly they adequately replace what Richards and Carter brought (aside from the distractions).

Yeah Hamrlik IMO shouldn't even be on the list. He's too old and too much of what Washington already has. What about Ehrhoff? He's going to change buffalo more than Campbell or Hamrlik would Florida and Washington IMO

I think Campbell is a good pick at 10. He's underrated as a player while also being wildly overpaid as a player. He does a lot to control the tempo of the game with his skating and his passing. He'll help Florida's transition game a great deal and maybe they'll be able to score some goals. They're going to need to score a whole lot of them with that goaltending duo.

Exactly. Because of his contract, people tend to forget that Campbell's actually a very good player.
