Went with Luukko. Just hoping his dad comes across this board and sees it and offers me a job.

Went with Lehtivuori. Despite troubles with the Phantoms staff I think some more time in Europe will be good for his development and will give him a chance to come back over and become a regular.

I went with Kalinski because he is the most proven of any of the remaining players.

Amazing how fast prospects can turn from "gem in the rough" to "bust"!
Jon Kalinski and Marc Andre Bourdon may not even make the top 20 in this voting - last year they were still considered at least second tier prospects by most people on this board.

Why is Harry Zolnierzcick not on the poll? Heard quite some good things about him recently...

I don't actually remember watching him, but I think people thought he was doing decently, and in 08-09 I think he would've gotten to play more games if he hadn't had that leg injury. On the other hand he didn't get to play continuously after being called up in 09-10.

At this point he probably won't amount to much more than a 4th line pest, if that. 2 seasons ago he was most ready to come up and fill a roster spot when there was an injury. Now it seems like many players have blown passed him in the rankings.

Why isn't Zolniercyk been on here? From what I've read I thought he would be a top 5 prospect for us (this before Schenn and Couturier of course)? Is he going to be an NHL regular, somebody help me out?

I'm sure there are others who can add a whole lot more information on him then I can but in the 2 games I watched him with the Phantoms (both very poor quality feeds though I'll admit, and its a pretty small sampling) I was largely unimpressed. The difference between he and Read was huge and they came at essentially the same time. Maybe those few games in the A will have him more prepared for this season, but I didn't see anything worth rating him in the top 20 of our prospects just yet. In the games I saw I would have rated him maybe 10th best forward on the Phantoms.

When we signed both he and Read I assumed Z would be the better prospect but after watching him I quickly changed my tune. Perhaps Read just adapted to the A faster.

With that said, if he comes to camp and impresses then great.

Think Sullentrop has a chance to be an impact defensive D in the league

Read's sample size last season was too small for me to jump thru hoops like some people are over this guy. Some people have Read penciled in for the top 6 on the Flyers for God sakes based on a dozen or so games with the Phantoms and doing well.

I am also a realist. I want to see what Read can do for a full season at the pro level before annointing him a top 6 forward on the Flyers.
guess I dont get caught up in the hype machine for kids like Akeson, Read ect.
