Rise together fits well for the Price/Subban picture, as it could be made in correlation to their rise to superstardom.

I like the concept, I'm not sure I like the tag on the majority of the posters. I feel it only fits the one I described above.

It's way better than the 'bird's eye view' bell campaign. God that was/is stupid.

2012 Habs Ad Campaign...Plagiarism?

In recent years the Habs have been regarded as one of the best teams when it comes to marketing. Recent memorable campaigns have included; The City is Hockey/La Ville Est Hockey and We Are Canadiens/Nous sommes Canadiens.

For 2012 the habs are going with Rise Together/S'Élever Ensemble. The link below take you to the Canadiens landing page, which shows one face composed of two different players.

http://canadiens.nhl.com/

The concept is not only very different from past years, but it also seems to be a carbon copy of an NBA Marketing Campaign that originated in 2008.

Here is the 2008 NBA Playoffs Ad Campaign: There Can Only Be One

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p_LMS...eature=related

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LqCB9...eature=related

Seems pretty astonishing that the marketing research department failed to come across this. One would expect that an organization as storied and proud as the Canadiens, would put forth more effort and research into their primary marketing campaign, than to simply copy and paste something that was already done a few years ago.

Your thoughts?

I think it's good. There always will be some mad teenagers spitting on everything, so most responses are not that surprising.

I think you are pushing it...I mean, sure, it's the same concept, but splitting faces like that have been done way before 2008.

In order to make it as realistic as possible, I miswrote Together D

Pretty good visually, but the tagline, the spelling and French translation are just terribad.

I love it. We hardly ever have a marketing campaign with a slogan (the 100th year doesnt count) unless it's the playoffs, it's always something so boring and dry. Something that makes it seem as if the organization is afraid of targeting the younger demographic.

It's an easy idea.. but it works. Good job.
