Got to wonder how many more players in and out of the game are struggling with psychological issues. The League and PA have to find ways for players to open up about this subject. With depression as with addiction, a big step on the right path is acknowledging and accepting that you have a problem and getting help. Depression can affect anybody. It just takes a ******** of effort to accept it and talk about it.
Steve Simmons is a dumbass. No one knows anything and he's trying to get a news break. Then when people call him out on it he backtracks. It's such a ****** reporter thing to do and I bet he does the same in hockey.
Add to that John Kordic (years ago) and Bob Probert
All is not well in the NHL.
RIP Mr. Belak
Add the fact that EVERYBODY knows our own Chris Nilan was on the verge of doing it for all these years now. He's moving to Montreal (I heard Fontainebleau, near where I live), so let's hope he gets better.....But Knuckles has had A LOT of moments of depression.
I don't want to speculate but he was always happy, and funny in interviews or appearances he made on television. He was starting a radio show I believe soon, and was lined up to be on Battle of the Blades this summer so it doesn't seem like something that would have been stirring for a while(if it was suicide).
