LOL at that 3rd line, hahaha. But if you weren't trying to make an ex-Leafs all star team, I'd make it Stempniak-Stajan-Moss or Hagman-Moss-Stempniak

Backlund might start on the first line but I doubt he'll stay there once Morrison is back.

Tanguay - Morrison - Iginla
Glencross - Jokinen - Moss
Stempniak - Backlund - Bourque
TKO - Byron/Stajan - Jackman

Those would be my ideal forward lines.

my opinion this will be the lines

Tanguay - Backlund - Iginla <--- give Backlund a little fist line minutes, he could fall to #2c
Stempniak - Jokenin - Bourque <---- this could very well be deadly for a second line
Glencross - Stajan/Morrison - Moss <---- gritty line that can produce
Hagman - Morrison/Stajan - Jackman <---- shut down / energy line that can turn momentum
x- Nemisz, Bouma

Bouwmeester - Hannan <---- could give Bouwmeester a chance to regain form, if he trusts Hannan.
Giordano - Sarich <---- very solid defensive line with offensive abilities in Giordano
Babchuk - Butler <---- two defeneders trying to prove themselves in different ways.... interesting pair
x- Carson, Brodie

Kiprusoff <--- gonna show the league he still one of the best goalies in the league at 34 (35 in oct.)
karlsson <--- could be an interesting year if he can manage to impress the coaching staff

Im not gonna lie... i really like Stempniak... he has alot of talent, he's just gott hit his stride like he did in St. Louis, and for the first 18 games in PHX

Tanguay Backlund Iginla
Stempniak Jokinen Bourque
Moss Morrison Glencross
Hagman Stajan Jackman

Our 13th forward will be TKO, rotated with 2 of our goons.

Morrison should be #1 centre if he's healthy, no question. Backlund will do well transitioning from 4th line work to 3rd line work. 1st line will be too much for him at this stage in his development, especially for 82 games.

I'm sure some people will just be completely outraged if he's not handed the #1 center position, but I'm willing to bet good money that he does not get it. It seems everyone has him penciled in as a career #2 center except for Flames fans, who think he's a no brainer first liner next year, and I just don't get it. Not quite good enough, and more importantly not consistent enough to be trusted with a spot between our two best offensive players. We know BMO can not only do it, but do it well. He's been doing it for 10 years. Now that's a no brainer if you want to see the team win.

TANGUAY-MORRISON-IGINLA
BOURQUE-JOKINEN-STEMPNIAK
GLENCROSS-BACKLUND-MOSS
KOSTOPOULOS-STAJAN-JACKMAN

I don't see the purpose to put Hagman on the 4th line with some goons. I'd rather have an energy line with guys who hits and do the dirty job.

id switch stajan and moss and hagman with jackman, then move stempniak over to the left side with jackman on the right on the 3rd line.

Me too. It would be nice if he could steal a bottome six spot if Stajan fails to impress again. I doubt he'll be a better fit then morrison though. After watching some videos of him, he seems to be the type of player who could transition to wing quite easily.

Add a 7th round pick in either and it'll be much closer.

I would switch Byron on the third line at the right wing and Moss at the center of the 4th.

Disagree. Moss would provide much more offense than Byron. Byron would provide more energy but unless he has better hands that indicated, 4th line seems right for him.

I think Moss is way too good to play on the 4th line, regardless of how Sutter handles the minutes.
