The answer is no.

There is PLENTY of available bandwidth in most markets, this whole story makes absolutely no sense.

I'm not denying what you said, my beef with Dubé is that he seems clueless about some aspects of the game while very precise about other aspects, and other times, focuses too much on one thing and forgets another. With time, he also fell prey to the same polarized view of the play as other notables have (Pedneault was huge on this, one team was almost always 'dominating' the other team, in periods, sequences and such, totally denying the logical inevitability of such a thing happening, when it's a simple obvious fact that it's a game of ups and downs, and worse of all, chastisize the team being 'dominated'). Not saying Dubé does that as much, just noticed he did it more in the last few years than in the past. And as far as dissecting a game, Joel Bouchard, all the annoying mannerisms aside, is pretty on par with Dubé.

You should tell that to all the obsessed people hounding me about Boucher.

Don't take it too seriously though, it was either that post I made, or one saying how I always thought he looked a lot like Gary Sinise.
And you have no idea how many times I knew you would respond to something in a post either...

Pierre Trudel is about 102 years old, he probably just mis-heard something.

My understanding is the owner (Cogeco) wants to convert AM690 to a traffic station so they asked for it from the CRTC to emit the proper licencing.

If the CRTC refuses, Cogeco would convert CKAC730AM since it probably has the proper licencing already.

But, then, couldn't they just move 730 to 690? I haven't heard of anyone listening to 690 for at least 20 years...

The plan is to move 730AM (What's good about it lol - the games) to the FM to another Cogeco station, most probably 98,5FM.

Some people called on CKACWatch earlier, saying they saw the Crew take a plane for Pittsburg

Actually, all my french speaking friends from Quebec, actually prefer Team990 over CKAC, ironically enough, and they say the same for their friends. Just to give you an idea.

Yeah, it's crap, but at least you have rules on media control...(even though there's big money players in this game!)
Not like in Italy where the PM is the media overlord...and do what ever he wants: legal or not.
You got the media: you got the power.

ps: I like CKAC even though 90% is scrap. Like others like TVA...

Am i totally off here guys...?!
With all due rspect I think u r .If hockey is ur thing no radio station covered hockey as much as ckac that said this summer there was very little talk of hockey compared to last year, maybe there was a reason for that but there was a marked diffrence.I'm gonna miss Langevin and Crazy Ron .Team 990 gets to much into baseball and Football for my taste.

Think they are closing CKAC sports for good at 10:00am today (less than an hour...)

@trudelpierre (the same that came with the scoop):

#CKAC tire la plogue à 10h ce matin. Musique sans animation . Circulation lundi. Confirmation officielle ne saurait tarder.

Yesterday, they had a Scouting specialist over who explained the intricacies of physical development of players in the 12-16 age range, and the experiment they went to help understand the best way to train young players.

So.. A lot of Quebec-based hockey, like the QJMHL
