I remember when phaneuf was cut in the calf...HNIC did a story on a thin but protective layer that players could be wearing on their lower bodies to avoid skates cutting them. Don't see why this isnt standard issue amongst players.
Gagner's cut was freak, but a cut to the calf or thigh seems very preventable
Klefbom was unlucky enough to get cut on his thigh by an ice skate, the wound was sewn with ten stitches, and when the stitches were removed there was an infection. Now Klefbom is on penicillin which also prohibits him from playing.
A standard dose of antibiotics tends to run 10 days, so hopefully Klefbom will not be out too much longer, or there should be news relatively soon.
These are the keys for me. Would appear that he probably could play, but isn't allowed to. Far better then the Gagner or Souray deal. At this point anyway.

I'd think that the Oilers have to be looking at this and almost making it mandatory. They can't afford to have stupid injuries like this.
I think we need to sacrifice something like a virgin or something. Tossing BBO into a volcano or something or something is needed. These injruy woes need to end
