The logical assumption would be he's mad at the Oilers, who if diagnosed him "properly" months ago, Fraser could have had the surgery and been ready for the season.
The real logical assumption is that he's looking for a way to turn this to his client's benefit.
Could it be that the Oilers doctors diagnosed Fraser correctly and that maybe sometime during his recovery he had to many wobbly pops and slipped down the stairs and aggravated the injury? Could it be? Could it be?

It's a known fact that Dean Lombardi has purposely lied to the media for his own good. What's to say he's not doing it now. DL is in some hot water for his failure to sign the big name, the Penner trade, Smyth trade, and not be able to sign Doughty. What better then to divert the fan displeasure on to someone else. With the Smyth trade the fans are upset that they received so little in return and DL is trying to fix that problem. My guess is that DL is hoping by the start of the season, the fans will forget about it, and if they do he's done his job.

especially because they havent really done anything, they have developed a smugness about them forgetting 2 or 3 years ago they used to be a team worse then the Oilers that when looking at the scheduale LA was a team to beat.
