Can someone please post a recap if what was said.

I was in my Chem. Lab class and my teacher wasn't letting me put my head phones on lol. Apparently his lecture is more important , I told him the Kings are more important to me and he shook his head and walked away lol

= )

He basically said he expects to pillage in LA and he is coming for your sister first. He also said he hasn't missed a day of drinking since the summer started and he is currently on moisture island with Jeff Carter. He also killed a unicorn and used its horn to kill Chris Pronger.

But in all seriousness, the guy on the interview asked him about hot chicks in the stands at games in LA, commented about how ridiculous the Dry Island nonsense was/is, is really excited to be in LA now that the dust has settled, hasn't really talked strategy with the coaching staff and he expects there to be an adjustment period for the travel in western conference but doesn't think it will be a big deal. It was a pretty upbeat interview and the interviewer seemed to like LA.

Hopefully this puts the stuff to rest that people were cutting themselves over in the 48 hours after the deal went down.

Looking forward to the day when he does an interview that doesn't mention Dry Island or the Flyers.

If we thought Richards was mad about getting dealt, you have to hear Columbus' side....Howson said he had to go visit Carter in his NJ home and take Rick Nash along to make sure it's all good.

Richards was more shocked than anything else and despite that , within hours of being traded , he'd not only talked to Lombardi and Murray but also did the press on the phone interview with the LA media, some philly media and national media. He contacted some of the Kings players and did interviews over the next few days.

Jeff Carter never acknowledged the trade. He ddni't call or speak to Howson or anyone from the team and didn't return Umberger's calls. Being angry is one thing, but to act that immature, for four days was uncalled for. To make the GM and a contingent of players travel to your vacation home in Sea Isle to hold your hand...he's 26 not 16. He seems fine now and hopefully will have a good year there, altough he and Nash seem to be the same type of player, that is a shooter not a passer. I don't know if he's the right fit for Nash. In Philly some of the fans referred to him as the 'allen iverson of the NHL' due to his lack of passing.

But Richards is going back the coaches and system he had his best years as a pro under (155 points, plus 36 in two years with Stevens) In the three years prior to last year's misery (playing the whole year witha torn up wrist and unskilled wingers) in that same system he put up 89 goals (with Gagne riding shotgun) . He stays healthy and he's good for 80-85 points and lot of shorties.

Thanks for Posting...

Thanks for the link Sydor25 mucho appreciate it... was good to hear more from Mike R. Having him and Kopi as our 1 & 2 punch down the middle has most of us so excited we cannot stand still this summer!

And totally agree with you 'deeshamrock' I think the transition for MR will be fairly seemless having Simone to play on his wing and with our coaches to guide him. I expect as many do for him to have a huge season here in La La Land. GKG!

This is what Tim Panaccio from the Flyers reported.

How does it feel to win the Cup after coming close in 2010?

Regarding Carter, if you don't know the story this is what happened. He took a big discount, small cap hit/long term to stay in Philly. He was told at the time of the signing by Holmgren that he would honour the NTC before it kicks in. A few days before the trade happened his agent called Holmgren and asked him if there was any truth to the rumour that Carter was being traded to CBJ and he said no. He told him to tell Jeff to go in and see him if he was concerned. Carter went and talked to Homer and he told him again he wasn't being traded. A few days later, he was gone and it was exactly as rumoured to CBJ for Voracek and a pick. So yeah, Carter didn't speak to anyone for a few days and the GM went out there to reach out to him and everything was fine.

As for Joey Vendetta who interviewed Richie, he works in LA but has been filling in at The Fan for the past 2 weeks. That's why he was speaking so highly of LA. He has had a ton of hockey guys on during the past 2 weeks so it's been a relief to hear all of them instead of Leaf talk all the time! Yesterday he had Richards, Briere, Lupul and Bobby Ryan on so it's been real good.
