I would like to join and spectate (if that is even possible) on the team games. I am honestly dismal at NHL 11.
I do have NHL 12 reserved .. not that I expect to be significantly better in that. Do not play online much so do not remember my gamer tag. Will have to check on that.

Dang I can't wait for this to come out! On Sharks home game nights i probably won't be on til' really late since i'm working there now. But I can't wait for our post-game sessions

I'm also debating whether to start off as a d-man. That's what I did with NHL 11 because I found it just impossible to actually play as a forward on your first cards - but then again I started about two months into the release and a lot of opponents already had their superstar or legend cards by then. Maybe if we're all even it's easier.
Oh, and that was a BS penalty shot call in that last game. I can't believe that happened.

I definitely plan on getting the game but whether I switch from standard online play is another story. I read these threads from time to time and enjoy them so maybe I'll finally bite the bullet and switch modes for a while.
Team ratings to start the game. They'll change after patches (Regehr was the highest rated defenseman at launch for 11), but some of these are just ridiculous. Washington and Vancouver getting a higher rating than Boston?

EDIT: Looking at it again, it's not so bad considering Detroit has a 79 and LA has an 80, but Washington and Vancouver getting 95 is ridiculous.

Game was most likely made by a swarm of Canucks fans, so no surprises there.
