I, for one, am shocked that Charlie's spaghetti arms were able to lift the Cup.

The picture of the cop holding it (3rd one down) is awesome. His face is priceless.

How the hell did he spell Marchand correctly?

If I'm gonna paint all that on my truck, I'd make sure I have the correct spelling.. but maybe it was done on purpose for the lulz?

EDIT - Oh I think he spelled Bergeron correctly.. the 'R' looked like an 'A'

Stanley Cup at Belmont Hill School

Raise the Cup: Stanley Cup Comes to Belmont Hill
Quote:
At mid-morning on Friday, the boys proceeded to the chapel for a scheduled School Meeting. Things seemed routine enough, but as they filed into the chapel, the Stanley Cup DVD was playing, with highlights of the Bruins dramatic victory showing overhead. It did not take much to figure out that something special was about to happen. Then, from the back of the chapel, former varsity hockey coach Ken Martin walked down the aisle, with Lord Stanley's Cup overhead.
Well well, who should show up at chapel but Cam Neely to address the assembly (video)

Quote:
Mr. Neely talked to the boys about the Stanley Cup victory, and stressed that when building a team it is often character and integrity that distinguish the best players.

I forgot to post the story link, here's the quote from that guy:
Quote:
For Wellesley Patrolman Mark Carrasquillo who played defense on hockey teams from mites, to Natick High School and Westfield State University, the experience was something he may have dreamed of, but never believed would happen.

“The let me hold it, he said. “I never, ever thought I’d get to hold the cup.”

I am really looking forward to the Savvy pics with the cup. Please, if anybody has any pics, post them. I did a quick look through the thread(s) but didn't find any.

Apparently Milan Lucic of the Boston Bruins showed up at Mary Ann's last night with the Stanley Cup. According to some people at the bar, he was doing free jager shots with the BC kids, and a merry old time was had by all

I think I am becoming one with the Cup, since I dreamed I was taking it to a nursing home last night. Just saw this visit from yesterday:

Stanley Cup makes visit with 104-year-old Northbridge Bruins fan

Quote:
Caissie's passion for the B's began in the 1930's and carried through the 1950's, as he read the latest hockey stories in local newspapers or listened to games on the radio.

His grandson recalls that just days after Bobby Orr signed with the Bruins in 1966, Caissie started recording every Bruins' box score, which he continued to do up until the late 2000's.

Dave's little brother, Max, 92

“Bring the Stanley Cup to Desire 'Dave' Caissie” Facebook page

apparently their campaign to get the Cup to see grandpa went through Rene Rancourt:

Quote:
Rene Rancourt left me a message on my Voice mail yesterday with a number to try,
The other cool thing is began the message by singing the first lines of our anthem.
