Could someone please share their reasoning for adding Sobchenko before Sefton and Kuraly?

everything i've read about him makes it seem like he could be a 2nd or 3rd liner in the NHL. he was one of Russia's best players on their Gold Medal junior team. he had an issue with a Russia coach, which kept him off some Russian national team. that makes me believe he is better than he seems, because he was denied the extra chances to gain more attention and hype.

This exactly. I'm really hoping he'll come to camp this year.

The biggest knock on him is that he's an older draft pick, at 20. Most people might be a bit hesitant to put a lot of faith behind him as someone with a lot of potential. I love the pick, but the only reason I'd rank Sefton higher is because before the season began some thought he had a shot at going in the first round. But his play failed to evolve and he didn't impressed much, so he fell.

Actually, JAson Demers was 20 when he was drafted ..

My reason for holding off on Sobchenko is simple -he's Russian -- and he is more a 2nd / 3rd line player.
Sharks have not signed Russians and , in general, NHL teams have had some problems with signing and keeping Russian players if the prospect is more of a 3rd line or 2nd /3rd pairing dman and not a 1st line/ pairing, (instead they go back to the KHL where they can get equivalent money)
