LOL true that. Well either Iowa State would get a respite (move TCU to the SE) or Hawaii would get a seat at the big boys table.

As a future Pitt alum (graduating in May), I really don't want to see the Panthers in the Big 12. In the Big East, Pitt has a chance to win the conference and make it to a BCS bowl game year in and year out. In the Big 12, we'd be Texas and Oklahoma's ***** yearly. Pitt would still be competitive in basketball, but I worry about the attractiveness of the school in the eyes of Tri-State kids... a big part of the program's success over the years has been a result of successfully recruiting kids in that area. Plus, Big East basketball is the ****.

Long live the Big East.

The only conference I would see Pitt jumping ship for is the Big 10 at this point, unless the **** really hits the fan. WVU leaving the Big East would be cause enough for this to happen. But it is FAR more likely that the Big East goes after a good portion of the Big 12 rather then the other way around. Oklahoma may have had enough with the Texas arrogance and greed themselves, they and OK State would be on their way to the Pac 12 in a second if it happens.

As it stands right now the Big East is far more stable then the Big 12... and we don't even have a long term tv deal in place yet.

Sometimes I wish JR was as savy in team management as I am in NHL11.

Traded Brandon Sutter, Boychuk and my 2012 1st (around 20th overall at the time) for Mikko Koivu and Minnesota's 2012 1st (guaranteed 1st-2nd overall). Then traded my 2013 1st and Paradis for Nashville's 2012 (the other 1st-2nd overall). My team then went on to win the Cup, with Ward winning another Conn Smythe (2.12 and a .923 SV%).

So I traded Sutter and spare parts for Koivu, the top 2 picks of the draft, and won the Cup for good measure. My only failure that season was being unable to grab Burns from San Jose.

Sigh...it's fun to dream.

Sutter always ends up one of my best players though. Like Datsyukian in two way playing.

The way I see it, Sutter could only hope to be Koivu.

From wikipedia.

Maybe getting Mikko would be genius.

Russell Wilson deserves all this hype... I always thought he'd be a stud in an offense with a run first offense, big OL, and where RW gets to throw it 25 times a game, he could be a Heisman candidate... NC State just didn't have that... I expect Glennon to be pretty damn good though

Apparently TCU shouldn't have stopped there. It was Ba... er Bear country

EDIT: Speaking of upsets, it would seem that Utah State is giving Auburn all they can handle 21-14 at the Half. The game is IN Alabama to haha. GO AGGIES!!! =)

Tarheelhockey and Anton 2nd Pick

Hey guys, please be sure to vote in the league activity poll for our ESPN fantasy league. Just trying to allow the league to remain competitive with as many active owners as possible, and if you don't vote you will be replaced, so please just get over there and do it real quick (it takes literally a minute). I know I sent an email but this is just an extra reminder... Thanks!

Michigan wasn't a miracle. That App team was just on another level from this years one.

Now JMU @ VT, THAT was a miracle.

Do you mean BCS and FCS? Because unless I've misread, the BCS is part of the FBS and App is part of the FCS.

Quite possibly. I'll just call it 1-AA, that's what it was as I was growing up.

Bryn Renner goes 22-23 in UNC's opener. Ironically his one incompletely pass was actually an interception, so he's TECHNICALLY "completed" every single pass

How was that not a miracle? Michigan was ranked 5 in BCS and even though App was 1 in the FCS it was still a monumental victory. I often hear that this upset was the greatest next to the "Miracle on Ice."

Oh it's still a shocker, but the way everything played out Michigan proved to be HIGHLY overrated that season (there's a reason I detest pre-season polls), while ASU probably deserved to be ranked in the FBS top 25 by seasons end. They were just that much better then the rest of FCS that season... and frankly were that much better then most of FBS as well.

JMU, a team that was barely .500 in FCS last year? Beating a BCS-bound VT? That's more of a miracle.

And I'm not trying to take anything away from that ASU win, that ASU team was just THAT good that year.

Appalachian state beat Michigan because their defense couldn't handle a spread offense, and Appalachian state was better than usual that year.

But for the real reason I am in here, I am wondering if anyone here has a RBK 6100 Red Canes jersey. It's been on my wish list of hockey jerseys as I want to turn it into a 2006 SCF Brind'Amour. If anyone has one size 48 or larger that they'd be willing to part with, please PM me.

That michigan team SUCKED... a great win for ASU, but JMU over VT was a MUCH bigger upset, sorry... JMU beat a team that won the ACC... ASU beat a non bowl team... Preseason rankings are garbage
