Personally, I don't want any of our dmen traded, including our prospects. Heck, I don't even want Drewiske traded as I don't think we'll get anything close to his potential. Unfortunately, someone probably will get traded but I don't think it will be any of our top 4.
As for our 3RW, don't be surprised if Moreau eventually fulfills the spot.
Yeah no kidding. Anyone who wants to trade Scuderi to get any of the D prospects, especially Voynov, in the lineup should seriously consider getting their head examined.
Oh, relax.
I don't mind seeing Voynov step in, but I don't think it's going to because Scuderi was traded.
I wouldn't mind that as long as Voynov plays at least every other game.
I know how people say Voynov shouldn't be the 7th dman and he would be better off getting all the ice time in the world in Manch, but sooner or later, he's gonna be on the team. He will have to adjust to not getting as much ice time; it's part of the learning curve - just ask Tyler Seguin and Jonathan Bernier! I'd rather have Voynov learning how to be an NHLer than dominating in the AHL again. It will be better for him in the long run to go through that tough stretch of not being "the guy." It happened to Bernier, and look at how he flourished in the second half of the year. If a guy is ready, he's ready. Logging ice time in Manch won't do squat to help his development, but being a part of the big club (even if he sits every other game), will.
i could see DL pushing for pominville... but scuderi? that would be a
that is the symbol for the shocker, right?
Why would Sabres want another D-man? ... If anything happened between Sabres and Kings... I would have to think it revolved around one of your Centers ... ie Stoll ...or Brown ... tho' i don't see the Kings letting Brown go.

Scuderi's game is that he is defensively sound but he is not overly physical and has no offensive skills...we also had to overpay to get him....Voynov is younger, cheaper, faster, more physical and more skilled. He has paid his dues. I wouldn't be surprised if the Kings traded Scud's.

What is the point of trading skuds?? The Kings don't need the capspace?? Kings also have plenty of "skill" on the blueline. So why would you weaken your team, which is suppose to be a contender going into the next season, just cause a kid has "earned" a spot.
I don't think Voynov is ready to step in and replace any of the Kings' current top six defenseman. Drewiske, yes, he can beat him for a spot, but he has to really have an amazing camp to force the Kings to make a decision.
I just don't see where he fits right now with within the current rotation. As we know, the Kings like having an offensive defenseman paired with a defensive defenseman, and they have that with Doughty playing with Mitchell, Johnson playing with Scuderi, and Martinez playing with Greene.
After the season Martinez had last season, I'd say he has his position locked in. The only way he loses that spot is if he suffers a setback, much like how Drewiske did, and gets outplayed by Voynov. Is it possible to happen? Sure it is. But I'd say it is unlikely to occur. Martinez is a smart player and very athletic. I think he sticks around.
You have got to be kidding me. He was one of the worst players on one of the worst teams in the NHL last season and has zero upside to improve.
If the Kings have no one on that can beat out a slug like Ethan Moreau for a top 9 spot then maybe they do need to look for something on the trade market.

exactly.........
a 35 year old who scores 30 goals over his past 5 years is a Murray type of player.
And i know Murray, he will put Moraeu into the lineup.
Then we have to listen to Murrays period interviews..... Moreau does everything but scoring but he does the little things right.

Yeah, I really hope Moreau doesn't start out on our 3rd line. He's a 4th line LW/depth guy that should play about 40 games. Put Richardson on the 3rd line. He doesn't have high-end skill but he has speed and chemistry with Clifford.
the fact that we havn't gone out to get a 3rd line rw yet is what makes me think Loki is going to be given a real chance to make the team as the 3rd line C and Stoll move to his wing while taking faceoffs.
Mind you Loki's faceoff stat should be much higher with Stoll on his wing, as he can 'cheat' every time knowing Stoll will come in when he is kicked out

Tbh, if Stoll moved to wing, I still think he would take all the faceoffs.
Considering Stoll is a better Center than winger, I think he's a lock to get that 3C spot. Besides, there isn't even a roster spot, let alone Center spot, for Loktionov to take.

FRASER: “It was very frustrating. It’s not frustrating (with) whatever’s going on between the teams. I don’t know, that’s between them, but the frustrating part is straight-up the injury. I broke it in March and here I am getting surgery at the end of July. Whoever is right and whoever is wrong, it doesn’t matter. I just wish I could have got it done a heck of a lot earlier so that I wouldn’t be in this position of, `Are you or are you not going to be ready for camp?’ I could put it behind me and just be ready for the 16th. Now it’s coming down to the wire and it’s going to be tight. But that’s the way it goes, that’s the way it went for me. Things are going onward and upward now and it’s getting better.
“At first, it was, `Let it heal. You don’t need surgery, let it heal.’ And it just wouldn’t heal. So then it came down to, `OK, maybe surgery is the option.’ If they did surgery every time somebody broke something…they can’t always do surgery. That’s how they explained it to me. `Why didn’t I get surgery in March?’ Well, they don’t do surgery every time somebody breaks a bone. Nobody could predict (that it would be slow to heal). I don’t care who you are, nobody is going to predict that it’s not going to heal. No one knows why it doesn’t heal. It just never got any better. It was still the same, from day one to the end of June. It didn’t hurt as much, but on a CT scan it was just broken.”
