Been running mock drafts all morning/afternoon. Goalies seem to be hot this year. Last year you could still get legit top10s in the 4th or 5th round.

Besides your goalies, unless Quick reaches the next level, your roster is ****ing insane, especially your forwards.

Jonathan Quick started 81% of the games with a 2.24 GAA, 6 SO & 35 wins. That's pretty good stats in my book. He's gonna have a big year as LA will take another step closer to competing for the Cup.

I think St. Louis is going to be a lot better this year, after the big trade (Stewart - Johnson) last season they played excellent hockey down the stretch. Although, Halak's numbers were "decent" last year...he was back-stopping an injury riddled team.

I'm banking on Ondrej Pavelec to continue off his strong finish to last year. As long as he doesn't have another on-ice collapse.

Well yea, Quick is very good, but your other 2 goalies are iffy. Like I said though, your roster is insane

Are the scoring settings universal throughout the leagues, because in league 6, I don't see blocked shots on there. And if we aren't doing universal rules, can I suggest that we don't give points for SOG. Taking a lot of shots isn't always a good thing, and I don't understand why it's something that is always assigned as a positive thing. A lot of players take a lot of shots to the detriment of their own team's success. A lot of players waste a lot of offensive zone opportunities by taking poor, low quality shots.

Agree on SOG, it gives certain players more value over others, who otherwise wouldn't have that value.

Those goalies are more than sufficient to take H2H points each week, and really he'll only need them to once in awhile, his forward core should be winning him most of their categories every week.

This is a solid roster I would feel confident with this season.

Yeah thats a nasty roster. Quick is good and by now you should all know i'm a big Pavelec fan- he puts up the stats, just gets screwed out of the W's. Halak is more than adequate, too.

I think the D there might be a little weak depending on certain variables (Buff playing with Enstrom, Fowler not slumping, etc) but I would be very happy if I had that roster. Good draft.

Gonna try to get some mock drafts going now. I might be a little rusty and I probably won't be able to steal great sleeper fantasy guys off of the waiver wire playing against people who actually know what's up.

It looks like a lot of people are neglecting defense. I was able to get an entire roster full of guys who can put up 50+ points on D in a couple of my fantasy drafts.

So what do you guys think about Corey Perry? I personally don't think he's gonna repeat his year last year.

Every league is different, you have to remember a lot of the stats D put up are the same forwards put up, and forwards almost always put up more of them.

Just short of the top-tier defensemen you are better off with a forward in a lot of cases at lower rounds. You shouldn't fill your D with 4 nobodies, but you can take the chance of only have 1-2 decent d-men and then picking some hot hands throughout the season. Your goalies and forwards are more important for the most part.
